Tramontina s sharpening steels have a protector that is incorporated in the handle to provide safe handling. Los afiladores TRAMONTINA poseen un protector incorporado al mango que permite una mayor seguridad al usuario. *No NSF stamp *No tiene chancela del NSF Thermal Tratmant Hardening by induction: After the sharpening steels are manufactured they are heated by induction to aproximately 900ºC, and then quickly cooled down. This process ensures the sharpening steels acquire a superficial hardness of more than 62 HRC. Tempering - Adjustment of hardness and tensions generated in the hardening process. This treatment is done at an approximate temperature of 200ºC. Coating with hard chrome - After the thermal treatment, the sharpening steel receives a hard chrome coating along its surface. Apart from providing a high level of hardness this coating is aimed at protecting the entire piece, thus avoinding oxidation (rusting). Proceso de Temple El temple es por inducción los afiladores, después de ser maquinados, se calientan por inducción a una temperatura próxima a los 900ºC y enfriados en forma muy rápida. Este proceso hace que la pieza obtenga una dureza en su superficie superior a los 62 HRC. Revenido: es el ajuste de la dureza y de sus tensiones generadas durante el proceso de temple. Este tratamiento del afilador se efectúa a una temperatura de aproximadamente 200ºC. Revestimiento con cromo duro después del tratamiento térmico: las piezas reciben una película de cromo duro en toda su superficie. Además de la alta dureza del revestimiento con cromo duro, el proceso tiena la finalidad de proteger la pieza contra la oxidación. Injection of the handle There are no gaps between the sharpening steel itself and its handle as the polypropylene (PP) handle is directly injected onto one of the ends. The whole piece is compact and resitant to wear and tear. Inyección del mango El afilador no debe tener ningun espacio abierto entre el acero y el mango. Para eso utilizamos inyección directa del mango sobre la pieza. El material utilizado es el polipropileno (PP). De esta forma se obtiene una pieza muy compacta y resistente a los esfuerzos del trabajo de afilado. 149
