2 Saint Charles Parish San Diego / Imperial Beach Page Two From the Pastor SALVATION HAS COME TO THIS HOUSE Zacchaeus probably never expected that he would get Jesus attention climbing on the tree to see him but he did. He was so excited that Jesus not only noticed him but wanted to spend time with him. As a tax collector, Zacchaeus didn t have many friends. By Jesus wanting to spend time with Zacchaeus, Jesus is saying to him that he wants to be his friend. Jesus knows there is a void in the life of Zacchaeus because Zacchaeus has put as the center of his life money and not God. Spending time with Jesus transforms the life of Zacchaeus and his household (family) which is why Jesus proclaims that salvation has come into this house. May we aspire to let Jesus reign in our homes and in our hearts. Fr. McElroy and accompanied by the beautiful San Rafael Parish Choir November 2 at 11:00 a.m. at the Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum. St. Charles Catholic School Fall Festival! COLLECTION FOR THE ARCHDIOCESE FOR THE MILITARY SERVICES, USA Next week our parish will take up the collection for the Archdiocese for the Military services, USA (AMS). The AMS relies solely on private donors in support of its mission, Serving those who serve and its ministry to provide the same pastoral care and services to Catholics serving the United States Armed Forces. All Coins received in the offering will be made available to the Pastoral Charity Account to meet special needs of Parishioners of St. Charles Parish. Food and baby items brought to the church will be distributed to the people of our own parish or given to BIRTHLINE to help mother and expectant mothers in need. 5 Page Five Treintaiunavo Domingo del Tiempo Ordinario 30 de Octubre de 2016 Del Pastor SALVACION HA LLEGADO A ESTA CASA Zaqueo no se imaginaba que Jesús lo iba a ver mientras el estaba en el árbol pero así fue. Se lleno de tanta emoción que Jesús no solo lo noto sino que también quería pasar tiempo con el. Como cobrador de impuestos, Zaqueo no tenia muchos amigos. Al querer pasar tiempo con Zaqueo, Jesús le esta diciendo que quiere ser su amigo. Jesús sabe que hay un gran vacio en la vida de Zaqueo porque Zaqueo ha puesto como el centro de su vida al dinero y no a Dios. Pasando tiempo con Jesús transforma la vida de Zaqueo y el de su casa (familia) y por eso dice Jesús que la salvación ha llegado a esta casa. Aspiremos a que Jesús reine en nuestras casas y en nuestros corazones. P. Emilio Oración Diaria por los Sacerdotes O Jesús, Te ruego por tus fieles sacerdotes.
