Document camera with Light-Pro projector. Whiteboard and dry erase markers. Learning Plan PREPARATION: 0. Check with the classroom teacher to see if a document camera and Light-Pro projector are available in the classroom. Otherwise, you will need to check one out from the school library. 0. Print a copy of the dialogue at the end of this lesson. INTRODUCTION TO THE DIALOGUE: [15 MINUTES] 1. Welcome the students to Spanish class. 2. Project the dialogue using the document camera. 3. Read the dialogue in Spanish out loud, line by line, allowing enough time for students to read the English translation to themselves. 4. Read the dialogue again in Spanish, this time explaining the vocabulary and reviewing pronunciation rules as you go. 5. Read it out loud in Spanish one more time and have the students repeat each line in Spanish. DIALOGUE PRESENTATION: [15 MINUTES] 6. Arrange one (or more) desk(s) to imitate a restaurant setting. 7. Select 5 volunteers to come to the front and assign each one a part. 8. Volunteers will act out the dialogue. They can read the lines from the projected dialogue. Note: They can read the entire dialogue or it can be broken up into four parts with different groups of volunteers for each part.

Dónde quieren sentarse, adentro o afuera? Afuera, por favor. Aquí está el menú. Qué quieren tomar? Yo quiero agua. Quiero una limonada. Yo quiero leche. Yo también. Where would you like to sit, inside or outside? Outside please. Here is the menu. What would you like to drink? I would like water. I would like a lemonade. I would like some milk. Me too. PART II Y para comer? And to eat? Dos tacos de pollo, por favor. Yo quiero pasta carbonara. Una hamburguesa con papas fritas para mí. Y yo una pizza de queso. Two chicken tacos, please I would like pasta carbonara. A hamburger with French fries for me. And I would like a cheese pizza.

Yo quiero una malteada de chocolate. How was everything? Everything was very tasty. Would you like any dessert? Yes, I would like some apple pie. Mom With two forks!
