We need time expressions, to talk about events that already happened in a determinate time and now are finished. That is why time expressions are important, because they help you to describe or talk in a past context. Nota de Soars, L &Soars, J., (2001) Grammar Reference American Headway Student Book 1 p. 139 New York: Oxford University Pres Ejemplos: My father and I played football last Saturday. 1
2 Mi padre y yo jugamos fútbol el sábado pasado. Ximena and I went to the movies last night. They visited Paris last year. Mónica arrived to the airport yesterday morning. 2
