3 Week of February 5, 2017 Page Three P C C P 2017 On January 21, 2017 the Parish Council met for their annual retreat. It was a great day filled with prayer, laughter, and conversations about the priorities of the parish. It was acknowledged that the parish faces some tough challenges in the years ahead but also hopeful for the future. The new Parish Council for 2017 was presented at the 10:30 am mass at Holy Cross church. Thank you to the following people for sharing of their time and talents for the good of the parish. Fue un dia lleno de alegria, oracion, y diálogos sobre las prioridades de la parroquia. Se hablo de los desafios que enfrenta la parroquia pero tambien la esperanza para el futuro. Rocky was only 10 when he got into a routine of going to school on his own, avoiding the early birds, he, the worm, walked this path every morning. Rocky was only 10 when he began to lie to the teacher about his tardiness. Momma keeps on driving slow Ma am. Sorry. Rocky was only 10 when the teachers asked about Daddy. Daddy doesn t exist, he s driving someone else to school not named Rocky. Rocky was only 10 when the big boys told him to play hooky, the big boys are pro s at writing fake letters. Rocky was only 10 when the big boys offered him money to be their delivery boy. Who doesn t want money? Rocky was only 10 when he got caught by the law. He is not old enough to get a job. Life is unfair in the Grand Sphere even at 10 Rocky was only 10 when the big boys told him to continue. Hey, double pay! Rocky was only 10 when his driver crashed and flew out of the vehicle. He can no longer walk. Rocky was only 10 when he realized the big boys were the bad boys. Rocky was only 10 when he got his first surgery. Momma wasn t there. Rocky was only 10 when he blamed himself for his Momma running away. If only he was more perfect. Rocky was only 10 when the Doctor told him Momma was a bad teacher, those at 10 need guidance. Rocky was only 10 when he went to an orphanage, time to find a new Momma. Rocky was only 17 when he realized no new Momma would come by next year. Rocky was only 22 when he graduated college and found his dream. Rocky was only 28 when he asked her to marry him, she said YES. Rocky was only 30 when his wife screamed in joy after reading the pregnancy test, Rocky Jr is on the way. Rocky was only 35 when he got a promotion in his career, Rocky Jr would have everything Rocky couldn t. Rocky was only 40 when he started to donate to orphanages, hopefully they could find Momma s. Rocky was only 45 when he was told Momma is on her deathbed and wishes to see him. Rocky was only 45 when he went to see Momma one last time. Rocky was only 45 when Momma apologized for not being there. Rocky was only 45 when Momma said she is proud of him. Rocky was only 45 when he buried his Momma. Rocky was only 10 when it all started.
