Letter from the Dean

Welcome to Instituto de Empresa! Once again and as Dean of Instituto de Empresa, it is a pleasure for me to welcome the companies participating in the 2006 International Careers Fair. Our Career Fair is the most important recruiting event of the year as it is not only the best opportunity for our students to network companies, but also offers recruiting companies the chance to get to know the talent of our School. The success of past editions encourages us to continue wit our efforts to bring together students and recruiters. Our students, from the MBA and the International MBA programmes, are trained to be leaders in entrepreneurship and business management - leaders who direct and guide business organisations in this competitive and dynamic global environment, create change, uphold ethics and values, and encourage innovation without losing sight of professional and personal ethics. This year, recruiters will also have the opportunity to meet students from two of our newest programs: Master in Financial Management (MFM) and Master of Management in Marketing (MMM). Here at Instituto de Empresa, companies can find an extensive portfolio of profiles with specialised training in different areas and a wide range of experience across industries. Those students attending this year s Fair include young people at the beginning of their careers (with less than two year s experience), and professionals with 2 to 5 years experience, coming from diverse professional backgrounds, with well-developed competencies and abilities and a clear international orientation. All of our students share important accomplishments: they have all gone through an academic program of extraordinary exigency and intellectual levels, succeeded in managing an exceptionally intense work schedule, and achieved unique personal and professional development levels. Each member of the Class of 2006 possesses a professional talent that will make the difference in the companies they will join.
