PRESENTACIÓN In accordance with the curriculum requirements, all students must present a Final Project concerning the issues studied and discussed during the Master. As such, students are given the chance to apply the knowledge acquired during the course. The Project will be available in two modalities: Academic Investigation and Professional Investigation. Students may decide which modality to choose. Prerrequisitos y Recomendaciones (si es pertinente) 2. COMPETENCIAS Competencias genéricas: 1. The objective of the Final Project is for the students to show that they have understood the course content adequately. This will be demonstrated through the application of the main concepts and techniques learned during the course.

Estrategias metodológicas, materiales y recursos didácticos This modality involves the development of a Project prepared under the supervision of a lecturer. A research proposal is intended to convince others that you have a worthwhile research project and that you have the competence and the work-plan to complete it. Generally, the proposal should contain all the key elements involved in the research process and include sufficient information for the readers to evaluate project. Regardless of the area and the methodology you choose, the proposals must address the following questions: What you plan to accomplish, why you want to do it and how you are going to do it. The proposal should have sufficient information to convince your readers that you have an important idea, that you have a good grasp of the relevant literature and the major issues, and that your methodology is sound. The quality of your project proposal depends not only on the quality of your proposed project, but also on the quality of your proposal writing. Using Excel or Matlab Students must prepare both a Word document and a Powerpoint presentation for their Academic Investigation This Project will be presented and defended in front of an Academic Committee (tribunal) comprised of tutor and other Professors Publication In collaboration with Alumni CIFF, outstanding projects may be chosen by CIFF to appear as a digital paper in an academic review specialized in finance. 5. EVALUACIÓN: Procedimientos, criterios de evaluación y de calificación 1 The Final Project validates 9 ECTS. Evaluation of the Final Project will be carried out by the Tribunal. The weighting of the Final Project is the following: 10% Attendance 60% Working Paper 30% Final Project Defense Attendance: 5% will be subtracted for the failure to attend each seminar (up to a maximum of 10%). Working Paper: This Paper may be of a maximum of 25 pages (in Microsoft Word format). Excess pages will not be marked. Depending on the subject chosen, other programs (e.g. Excel) may be used; however this information must be presented in Word format. Final Project Defense A maximum of 20 slides may be written (in Microsoft PowerPoint format). This Project will be presented and defended in front of an Academic Committee comprised of the tutor and other Professors 1 Es importante señalar los procedimientos de evaluación: por ejemplo evaluación continua, final, autoevaluación, co-evaluación. Instrumentos y evidencias: trabajos, actividades. Criterios o indicadores que se van a valorar en relación a las competencias: dominio de conocimientos conceptuales, aplicación, transferencia conocimientos. Para el sistema de calificación hay que recordar la Normativa del Consejo de Gobierno del 16 de Julio de 2009: la calificación de la evaluación continua representará, al menos, el 60%. Se puede elevar este % en la guía.
