INSTRUCTIONS : Mdel the cnversa>n fr yur students. Have them repeat afer yu several >mes un>l they are fairly cmfrtable with the prnuncia>n. Once they are cmfrtable, begin the ac>vi>es frm the Student Ac>vity Bk (SAB). Ac>vity 1 hlds them accuntable fr prac>cing, and yu can circulate, listen t grups, and mdel crrect prnuncia>n as they g. Yu can encurage as much partner prac>ce as yu feel necessary. (Sme ideas: ask students t perfrm fr the class, set them up in tw lines and have them cycle thrugh, changing partners as they g, find ther ways fr them t switch partners.) Lead the students thrugh the rest f the ac>vi>es frm the SAB, which may take a cuple f class sessins, depending n dura>n and the level f yur students. Each day, review the cnversa>n befre yu d the ac>vi>es, giving students ample prac>ce >me. Once they are very cmfrtable, they can d the mixer frm the Teacher s Guide (TG), prac>cing the cnversa>n again, using the infrma>n n the cards. Once the students are very cmfrtable with the structures, expressins, and vcabulary frm the cnversa>n, give them ne f the quizzes, whichever suits yur students beter. If desired, have them cmplete the review ac>vity frm the TG, which can be mdeled afer Ac>vity 8 in the SAB.
