So, what does it mean when we pray about ministering to God? Part of the answer can be found in our topic of Stewardship. Stewardship is a ministry; specifically, it is our ministry to God ( Minister to You. ). We minister to God in many ways: feeding the hungry, clothing the poor, caring for the sick, as well as serving and supporting our parish community. When we tithe each week, that tithe is a form of stewardship, or ministry to God. It is a representation of our faith, of our trust, in God. We are called to be good stewards of what God has so graciously given us. And we are called to freely give as a response to God s call for us to minister to Him. El ser Guardianes de la Casa de Dios es un ministerio; específicamente, es nuestro ministerio a Dios ("...Servirte a Ti."). Hacemos ministerio, servimos a Dios de muchas maneras: alimentando al hambriento, vistiendo al pobre, cuidando de los enfermos, además sirviendo y apoyando a nuestra comunidad parroquial. Receptionist - Assumption- Guadalupe Catholic Church in Omaha We are currently seeking a qualified individual to serve full-time as the receptionist in the Parish office. The position requires an individual to be fluent in English and Spanish, both written and spoken. The position also requires punctuality, attentiveness to duties, and computer knowledge, including being proficient with the MS Office suite of applications. The receptionist performs a variety of tasks in a fast-paced office setting. Responsibilities include: being able to simultaneously handle communications on multiple phone lines, while working with visitors in the office, working with and preparing sacramental forms and records, providing clerical services to parish groups and ministries, overseeing a small parish retail shop, processing Mass requests and intentions, providing secretarial services to the Pastor and Business Manager, as needed, working with Parish volunteers, including training for front desk duties, and providing other duties as needed or requested.
