2 6) Eligibility: Juniors: Born on or after 1 st January 1988 Cadets: Born on or after 1 st January ) Dates: 13 th - 16 th August 2006 (see attached document on the ITTF World Junior Elite Camp to be held in the same facilities from 10 th to 12 th August 2006) 8) System of play: 8.1) Team events: Will be played in two stages. First stage in round robin basis with groups of 3 or 4 teams each. Two teams advance from each group to the second stage. In the second stage, knock-out basis. The system of play will be the Corbillon Cup (AvsX, BvsY, double, AvsY, BvsX). All matches best of 5 games. 8.2) Doubles: Will be played in knock-out basis. All matches best of five games. 8.3) Singles events: Will be played in two stages. First stage in round robin basis with groups of 4 or 3 players each. Two players advance from each group to the second stage. In the second stage, knock-out basis. All the matches in the first stage will be played best of five games. In the second stage, in cadets the matches will be also best of five games, while in juniors the matches will be best of seven games. Note: According to the number of players entered for the cadet competition the Tournament Director and the ITTF Competition Manager may decide to let the cadet players enter in the Junior Singles competition. In doubles and teams the participation is only possible in one of the age categories (cadet OR junior). 9) Seeding List: According to the last ITTF published ranking and following the ITTF regulations for the World Junior Circuit Events. 10) Draws: For the team events will be held on 12 th August at 19:00 hours connected with the Jury Meeting. 11) Equipment: Tables: Tibhar Smash 28 R blue. (12 competition tables and 14 practise tables) Nets: Tibhar Smash Balls: Butterfly *** Super Selected Balls (white) Floor: Synthetic -2-

3 12) Prize Money and Awards: The ESA TTA will provide a total prize money of USD 2, for prize money, distributed as follows: 1 ST PLACE 2 ND PLACE 3 RD PLACE (x2) Junior Boys Singles $ 400,00 $ 150,00 $ 100,00 Junior Girls Singles $ 400,00 $ 150,00 $ 100,00 Junior Boys Doubles $ 150,00 $ 100,00 Junior Girls Doubles $ 150,00 $ 100,00 Note: The prize money will be paid in cash (no taxes) during the award presentation. All four top teams/pairs/players will receive medals. In addition, the winners on the cadet and junior boys and girls singles events will receive special trophies. All participants will receive diplomas for their participation as well. 13) Hospitality: The ESA TTA offers three different accommodation packages as follows: 13.1) Hotel REAL INTERCONTINENTAL (5*****) 15 minutes from the sport hall. Single room / night: USD $ Double room / night: USD $ Tripe room / night: USD $ Breakfast buffet Note: close to the hotel there are shopping centres with wide variety of fast food and restaurants. 13.2) Hotel Comfort INN (3***) 15 minutes from the sport hall. Single room / night: USD $ 60,00 Double room / night: USD $ 70,00 Tripe room / night: USD $ 100,00 - Continental Breakfast - Kitchen with microwave Note: there is a big supermarket at 100 metres of the hotel and the shopping malls are 10 minutes walking distance. -3-

4 13.3) INDES Sport Hotel Ciudad Merliot (3***) 30 minutes from the sport hall. Double room / night: USD $ (limited number of DR available) Triple room / night: USD $ Note: The Standard in the INDES Sport Hotel is the triple room. A limited number of doubles rooms will be available and the principle: first come, first served will be applied. - Breakfast, lunch and dinner Additional information: - The hospitality packages 1 and 2 do not include lunch and dinner, only breakfast. - The shuttle busses will circulate each 30 minutes from/to the hotels and sport hall. A detailed schedule will be given during the Jury Meeting on 12 th August. - If you decide not to use one of the official hospitality packages you can arrange your own transportation and accommodation and you will have to pay only USD $ 100 per person of your delegation as registration fee. 14) Entry forms and payment: Please respect the deadline for submission of your entry forms.
