6 THE LORD S PRAYER IN THE BIBLE Matthew 6: 5 When you pray, you shall not be as the hypocrites, for they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by men. Most certainly, I tell you, they have received their reward. 6 But you, when you pray, enter into your inner room, and having shut your door, pray to your Father who is in secret, and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly. 7 In praying, don t use vain repetitions, as the Gentiles do; for they think that they will be heard for their much speaking. 8 Therefore don t be like them, for your Father knows what things you need, before you ask him. 9 Pray like this: Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy. 10 Let your Kingdom come. Let your will be done, as in heaven, so on earth. 11 Give us today our daily bread. iv

7 La Oración de El Señor en la Biblia. Mateo 6:5-13 Cuando ores, no seas como los hipócritas, que gustan orar de pie en las Sinagogas y en las esquinas de las calles, para que los vean los demás. Ciertamente ellos ya recibieron su premio. Pero tú, cuando ores, entra en tú cuarto, cierra la puerta, ora a tú Padre que comparte tus secretos, y tú Padre que ve tus secretos, te premiará. En la oración no uses vanas repeticiones, como lo hacen los paganos, que piensan que ellos serán escuchados por su mucho hablar. Además no sean como ellos, porque su Padre sabe lo que necesitan, antes que se lo pidan. Oren así: Padre nuestro, Padre de los cielos, que tú Nombre sea Santificado. 10 Our Father JESUS SPEAKS TO ME OF HIS FATHER When you call Me Father it warms My heart as it warms your heart. For you see, this is what you were meant to call Me from the beginning of creation. Father speaks of many things: It speaks of a oneness between Me and you for we are family. It speaks of the bond of love between us. It speaks of a teaching and learning relationship between us. It speaks of your willingness to learn from Me. It speaks of My desire to lead and protect you under any circumstance. The word Father says that My love will always be there no matter who you are or what you do. 4

11 nuestro Padre Jesús me habla de su Padre Cuando tú me llamas Padre, se enciende mi corazón asi como se enciende el tuyo. Tú verás, eso es lo que estaba destinado a llamarme desde el principio de la Creación. Padre habla de muchas cosas: Habla de una unidad entre nosotros, porque somos familia. Habla del vínculo de amor entre nosotros. Habla de una enseñanza y de la relación de aprendizaje entre nosotros. Habla de su Voluntad para aprender de mí. Habla de mi deseo de guiarte y protegerte bajo algunas circunstancias. La palabra Padre dice que mi Amor siempre estará allí, no importando quien eres o lo que haces. 5

12 Remember the story of the prodigal son; My love for the son never faded. When you call me Father, we both declare that you are My son/daughter. I am proud to have you as My son/daughter. Father speaks of a God who loves, For God so loved the world. I am not a God to be carved on stone to be placed on a mantel, for Father says I am a God of relationships. I am not a God along side other gods, for Father says I am the only God, for there can be only one Father. There are those who find it hard to call Me Father, because of their earthly fathers. But remember I have overcome the world. 6

13 Recuerdas la historia del Hijo Pródigo. Mi amor por mi hijo nunca se desvaneció. Cuando me llamas Padre ambos declaramos que son mi hijo o mi hija. Me siento orgulloso de tenerlos como mi Hijo o mi Hija. En la palabra Padre, lo humano y lo divino se convierten en Uno, pero tú nunca eres Dios. Padre habla de un Dios que ama. Porque tanto amo Dios al mundo. Yo no soy un Dios para ser tallado en piedra, para ser colocado en una repisa. Por Padre dice que soy un Dios de relaciones. Yo no soy un Dios junto a otros dioses. Por Padre dice que soy el único Dios, porque no puede ser solo un Padre. Hay quienes les resulta difícil llamarme Padre, a causa de sus padres terrenales. Pero recuerda que yo he vencido al mundo. 7

14 There are those who find it easy to call Me Father, and so it should be. In the word Father the human and the divine become one, but you are never God. When you call me Father what you see in me are tenderness, mercy and forgiveness. When you call Me Father you will feel My tender arms surround you to bless you. To bless means, to say good things. When you know Me as Father healing begins to happen in your life, for you no longer need to fight your own battles. When you come to know Me as Father, you then come to know yourself. When you come to know yourself, you come to Me in repentance, therefore seeking forgiveness. 8

15 Hay quienes encuentran fácil llamarme a mi Padre y así debe ser. En la palabra Padre lo humano y lo divino viene a ser una palabra Pero tú no eres Dios. Cuando me llamas Padre lo que ves en mí son: la ternura, la misericordia y el perdón. Cuando tú me llamas Padre, tú sientes mis tiernos brazos rodeándote para bendecirte. Bendecir significa decir Cosas buenas. Cuando tú me conoces como Padre, la sanación comienza a suceder en tú vida para que tú no tengas que luchar tus propias batallas. Cuando tú me conozcas como Padre vienes entonces a conocerme por ti mismo. Cuando tú vengas a conocerme por ti mismo, ven arrepentido además de buscar el perdón. 9

16 It is then as your Father I pronounce the absolution on you, declaring that you are forgiven, for your sin is paid for by My blood. When you use the word OUR it means that you are not alone on your pilgrimage on earth. OUR means that you are part of a body that is united in Me as Father. 10

17 Es entonces que tú Padre pronuncia sobre ti la Absolución, declarando que tú eres perdonado porque tus pecados han sido perdonados por mi Sangre Cuando tú uses la palabra Nuestro significa que no estas solo en tú peregrinaje en la tierra. Nuestro significa que tú eres parte de un cuerpo que está unido en mi como Padre 11
