Entidad colaboradora: Piedrafita Sport RESUMEN DEL PROYECTO El presente proyecto surge de la necesidad de homologar un producto existente y en producción de Piedrafita Sport SL bajo normativas específicas solicitadas por un nuevo cliente. Dado que el nuevo cliente pertenece al sector de defensa estas normativas son altamente exigentes. Las pruebas que se deben realizar para poder llegar a una certificación con éxito son además de complicadas, muy costosas. Las normativas bajo las que tiene que estar el producto son las siguientes: MIL-STD-461E Requirements for the control of EM interference. EN :2008 Inmunidad a descargas electrostáticas. MIL-STD-901D Shock test high impact shipboard machinery, equipment and systems. MIL-STD-167 Mechanical vibration of shipboard equipment. MIL-STD-1275 Characteristics of 28V DC electrical systems in military vehicles. MIL-STD-810F Environmental engineering considerations and laboratory tests en rango de temperatures C1-A1. IEC 60529, IP67. Para llevar a cabo el proceso de homologación es necesario estudiar qué actualizaciones se han de realizar sobre el producto y su viabilidad económica. Este aspecto afecta tanto al diseño y ubicación de los componentes como a variaciones en la electrónica del mismo. El proyecto se divide en cuatro etapas bien diferenciadas: 1. Etapa de estudio de la normativa:

2 En esta etapa se estudian todas las normativas exigidas por el cliente y se acotan las pruebas que son más determinantes a la hora de conseguir la certificación. Se redacta un plan de ensayos a realizar sobre el producto en producción para determinar la necesidad de realizar modificaciones de diseño. Se decide que equipamiento se debe comprar para poder llevar a cabo las pruebas en las instalaciones. Se plantea, en función de los ensayos, la orientación que se debe tomar durante la etapa de diseño. 2. Etapa de diseño: En esta etapa se presenta el problema o ventaja de que ya existiera un producto en producción. Se plantean las principales modificaciones que se deben realizar sobre el conjunto. Las piezas, antes de pasar a producción, son ensayadas con software de elementos finitos. De esta manera, nuevamente, se trata de reducir los costes de prototipaje del proyecto. Se diseñan prototipos del producto para validar en las instalaciones las mejoras y poder trabajar en bucle cerrado. Se realiza la gestión de compras con los nuevos proveedores y se recibe asesoramiento técnico de los mismos. En este aspecto se han producido muchas modificaciones respecto al modelo inicial principalmente, por las normativas de campos electromagnéticos y tipos de caja ya que nuestro producto anterior tan solo estaba adaptado parcialmente. 3. Etapa de certificación: Una vez alcanzado un diseño sólido, se procede a la certificación del mismo. En caso de existir algún tipo de complicación (de momento no ha habido ninguno), se vuelve a la etapa de diseño para poder corregir el problema. Debido al gran número de normativas exigidas, los pocos laboratorios capaces de certificar y la cuantía económica de dicha certificación, se opta por certificar el producto con un solo proveedor.

3 En la actualidad (Septiembre 2009), el producto se encuentra en plena certificación por lo que el proyecto lleva un mes de retraso respecto al planning actual. 4. Etapa de producción: Se establecen los tiempos de entrega de lo proveedores. Se realiza la gestión de compras con varios proveedores con el objetivo de alcanzar el mínimo coste de fabricación. Por exigencias del cliente, se entregan todas las unidades con un número de serie para la trazabilidad y un certificado de conformidad, tanto eléctrica como mecánica. A la vista del estudio económico, el proyecto es altamente rentable. El margen obtenido sobre el producto es de un 16,5 %. El TIR obtenido es de un 63 %. Este valor se encuentra muy por encima del 10 % a partir del cual se considera una inversión como rentable. Por otro lado, el payback de la operación es de tan solo 2,62 años El presente presupuesto asciende a los citados OCHOCIENTOS CUARENTA Y CUATRO MIL QUINIENTOS SETENTA Y TRES EUROS.

4 PRODUCT ADAPTATION TO SPECIFIC MILITARY STANDARD AND ISO REGULATIONS This project arises from the need to approve an existing and in production product of Piedrafita Sport SL. It has to be done under specific normative requested by a new client. Since the new client belongs to the defence sector these regulations are highly demanding. The tests that must be realized to get the certification are, in addition, to complicated and very expensive. The regulations that the product has to pass are: MIL-STD-461E Requirements for the control of EM interference. EN :2008 Inmunidad a descargas electrostáticas. To carry out the process of homologation it is necessary to study which updates have to be realized on the product and his economic viability. This aspect affects both to the design and place of the components and to changes in the electronics. The project splits into four stages: 5. Regulation studying: In this stage all the regulations demanded by the client are studied. Then the needed tests in order to get the certification are annotated. A plan of tests to realize on the product in production is written. With this information we determine the need to realize modifications of design. We decide the equipment that is needed in order to do the test in our facilities.

5 Depending on the results, we decide wich way are we going to follow during the designing stage. 6. Designing: In this stage we have to see if our production product is good or not in order to improve it. Main modifications over the assembly are decided. All parts, before going to production line, are testes using FEM analysis. In this way we can reduce considerably costs. Prototypes are designed in order to prove that everything is progressing well. We contact with new providers in order to get some answers to our new objectives. Due to this we have done many modifications on the design. The most important are related with the electromagnetic fields and the shock tests. 7. Certification: When the design is finished, certification process. In case of existing some type of complication (at the moment there has not), we go back to the design to be able to solve the problem. Due to the demanded regulations, only few laboratories are capable of certifying. In order to reduce the cost we have decided certificate under all the regulation in the same place. At present (September, 2009), the product is in certification process. 8. Production: Providers lead times are establish. We contact with several providers in order to get the best prices. Because requirements of the client, all the units have to be delivered with a serial number for the trazability. Viewing the economic study, the project is highly profitable. The margin obtained on the product is about 16,5 %. The obtained TIR is 63 %. This value is much over 10 % from which it is considered to be an investment as profitable. In addition, the payback of the operation is only 2,62 years The presupposed present promotes to EIGHT HUNDRED AND FORTY FOUR THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED AND SEVENTY THREE EUROS.
