OBJECTIVES (EXPRESSED AS EXPECTED RESULTS OF EDUCATION) The objectives of the course are to generate in students the skills needed to: Identify elements and construction systems and define their positioning at the construction site. Know traditional and current construction systems used in the building engineering. Establish the adaptation of the materials in the construction process; the reception, quality control, positioning at the construction site and the execution control. Pose and solve construction details. Interpret and prepare graphic documentation of the project. Write documents that are part of the execution project carried out in a multidisciplinary way. Practical lessons, (application of theory knowledge to solve practical exercises, preparation of technical documents, teamwork) Tutorship: Evaluation. Additional activities: Seminars and lectures on structural construction topics, preferably given by representatives of companies from construction sector, contractors, suppliers, consultants, etc. renowned professionals. Practical lessons are of a particular interest, as they suppose the consolidation and strengthening of knowledge gained during theory sessions. Practical lessons are sequentially structured with theory lessons. The evaluation as the end of the learning process involves a series of tests; avoiding memory exercises, basic knowledge and skills taking priority over additional capabilities. Proposed exercises will imitate real situations, having a double function: rating and training. Página 6

Each test will be assessed according to the level of fulfillment of settled objectives for the purpose of final grade. ASSESSMENT BY TAKING FINAL EXAM: During the exam session on a date established by the Center will take place final exam of the subject. The exam can be taken by students that failed the continuous assessment as well as those who decided to increase the obtained grade. Also students that decided to Página 7
