Note From the Pastor If you started your spiritual exercises (extra almsgiving, prayer, sacrifice) the moment the ashes touched your forehead --- good for you!!! Your Lent is already blessing not just you but the whole Church. If you have procrastinated it is definitely not too late to begin. Remember that tiny concrete actions ( interventions ) promote conversion and change of heart more than tons of vague good intentions. Dare to do something specific, even something small, and you will be surprised. Some people find support groups helpful. Share your Lent with family, or a spiritual friend. Holy stones are needed to build a holy Church. Peace and All Good! Queridos amigos, Llevamos 10 días de Cuaresma. Una nota del Párroco Si usted comenzó sus ejercicios espirituales (caridades, oraciones y sacrificios extras) al momento que las cenizas tocaron su frente: que bueno!!! Su Cuaresma no solamente le bendice a usted sino a la Iglesia entera. Si usted se ha dilatado definitivamente no es demasiado tarde para empezar. Recuerde que las acciones concretas y pequeñas ("intervenciones") promueven la conversión y el cambio de ideas, más que toneladas de intenciones buenas sin oficio ni beneficio. Atrevese a hacer algo específico, aún algo pequeño, y usted quedará sorprendido. Algunas personas encuentran los grupos de apoyo útiles. Comparta su Cuaresma con la familia, o con un amigo espiritual. Las piedras santas son necesarias para construir una Iglesia santa. Paz y Todo Bueno!

Peter, James, and John wanted to build a booth for Jesus and just stay on the mountain where His transfiguration took place. But the Son of God, the Chosen One, knew that He must instead keep moving toward His Crucifixion. We, too, must rise from worship and do what we can to hasten the coming of the Kingdom.
