Principal's Highlights Mojave High School continues to strive to promote excellence and ensure the success of all students through implementation of personalization, college readiness, and content literacy. Professional development focused on Culturally Conscious Instructional Strategies to promote school climate. Mojave High School is proud to announce the operation of the ARMYJrROTC Rattler Battalion with more than 100 cadets enrolled. Mojave's faculty worked in Professional Learning Communities to create common assessments and continuity in instruction. Mojave High School utilized Advanced Academics and Compass Learning online classes as credit retrieval options for students. English teachers received training in Analytical Trait Scoring to effectively assess students' writing samples. Mojave High School's average daily attendance increased to 91.2%. Mojave High School received an additional $25,000 donation from CITI Foundation to support the school's CREST program. Mojave High School has been recognized for three consecutive years as an AVID Certified School. Mojave High School was named the 2011 National Council of Excellence by the NASC standards for leadership and service. An opening of school packet containing enrollment and registration information and the Educational Accords were mailed home in August. Timely information regarding programs was communicated during the school year through the school newsletter, district website, , telephone contacts, ParentLink, and the school's website at Letters and mailers were also translated into Spanish for our Spanish speaking parents. Mojave High School conducted four Title I parent nights as well as college and scholarship parent nights, AVID parent nights, and GEAR-UP parent nights where parents were provided assistance, training, and materials to help them work with their children to improve student achievement.
