1 EASTER ISLAND FOUNDATION Application for Scholarships / Solicitud de las Becas The Easter Island Foundation (EIF) awards the scholarships to advance academic or technical training aiming to improve employment opportunities for Rapanui applicants. We seek Rapanui people who hope to return to Easter Island after their studies to share their knowledge and skills. Scholarships will be awarded to applicants based on merit and financial need. The EIF offers different types of scholarships annually, all of which begin operation on the first of March. Winners are announced in January or February. The scholarship winners will initially receive half of the total award. The second half of the award will be granted upon receipt of a studies report provided by the awardee, on a form designated by the EIF after the first semester. REQUIREMENTS Be of Rapanui descent Be of less than thirty years of age Have completed two years of studies with good academic results Be enrolled in an institution or university Submit all the documentation for scholarship application before December 31 Supply a recent photo of the applicant La Fundación Isla de Pascua Easter Island Foundation (EIF) otorga las becas para avanzar los estudios académicos o técnicos con la meta de mejorar oportunidades de empleo para los solicitantes Rapanui. Convocamos a la gente de descendencia Rapanui, quien espera regresar a la Isla de Pascua después de sus estudios para compartir sus conocimientos y habilidades. Las becas se otorgarán a solicitantes en base de sus méritos y necesidad financiera. La EIF cuenta con becas anuales de varios tipos, todas empezando su vigencia al 1 del Marzo. Los ganadores serán anunciados en Enero o Febrero. Los ganadores de la beca recibirán inicialmente la mitad del premio. La segunda parte del premio va a ser entregado después de la recepción del reporte de estudios del becario, preparado con las formas de la EIF después del primer semestre.
