13 Conclusions With the application of ProStart PLUS as a single treatment or mixed with Hydrogen Cianamide the flowering was improved in terms of number of flowers and distribution of them across the branchs. The more concentration of ProStart PLUS, better results in flowering...for the results, probably this should be valid for single or mixed with Hydrogen Cianamide applications. Technical support ProStart PLUS contains hormones in its formulation (AUX, CYT and GIB). Flowering is a highly hormone-regulated process. The principal hormones that regulates this process are AUXINS. This hormone moves with gravity Photo of control plant AUX AUX AUX Auxins move away from the apical sections of the shoots due to gravity. This explain why the tips of the branchs usually doesn t have flowers or has and uneven distribution. In more severe situations, all the first upper third of the tress present this problem 13

ProStart PLUS increase the Auxins concentration inside the tissues leading a stronger flowering and thus fruit quality 15

Comments Considering this results and our experience we can recommend for you the use of 40 L/ha ProStart PLUS in cherries mixed with Hydrogen Cianamide (HC). You can applied one shot at the time of HC application or split ProStart PLUS in two shots of 20 L/ha: First one 40 days before regular flowering date and the second 10 days before flowering. 16
