2 19TH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME AUGUST 9, 2015 Welcome back Father Christopher! It's good to be back from vacation. It was a time of prayer and reflection. I also enjoyed time with friends and family in different parts of Texas. Some have the experience of not wanting to come back from vacation. Not me. I felt like I was ready to come back after my second week of vacation. But I knew that I needed to rest more so I can serve more. Even Christ himself withdrew to the wilderness to rest and reconnect with his heavenly Father, and he told his disciples to do the same. I hope that you get the chance to do the same, even if it s just to spend a day at the park or the beach. Fr. Christopher Plant Pastor, Resurrection Church Bienvenido de nuevo Padre Christopher! Isaiah 63:7 Father will do Anointing of the Sick during Mass for those that are seriously ill and pray with other people after Mass. Sometimes when he lays his hands on someone s head to pray, they relax so much that they rest in the Spirit. They might sit or lay on the ground. It is nothing to be concerned about. God uses countless ways to heal and draw us closer to Him. Sometimes God helps us to rest in Him in order to be more open to His working in us. But He also works just as powerfully in people that don t have this happen. We might experience something similar in our own prayer life when we feel a sense of the Spirit s presence reassuring us or filling us with peace. God works most often in the simple, ordinary daily happenings of our lives, we just have to slow down enough to be aware of them. Dio trabaja la mayoría de las reces en el simple acontecer diario normal de nuestras vida, nosotros solo tenemos que frenar lo suficiente como para ser conscientes de ellos.

Facial expressions similar to the baby's parents can be identified at this time. Fine hair begins growing on the head, eyebrows, and eyelashes. The baby learns to grip and suck his or her thumb. Half the pregnancy has now passed and this little baby is very active! Sleeping habits develop and the mother often feels her baby move and stretch, particularly when she is resting. Interestingly, babies at this stage have responded to sounds in frequencies too high and low for adults to hear. By the end of this month the baby is about 12 inches long and weighs about one pound. Babies born at this stage of development have survived.
