9 Nuestro Congreso Eucarís co Diocesano tendrá lugar en Charlo e el 8 y 9 de Sep embre (Viernes y Sábado). Este evento reúne espiritualmente a miles de Católicos provenientes de nuestra Diócesis, así como del área sureste del país para plá cas espirituales, música, oración y compañerismo-todo centrado en el San simo Sacramento. Todos son bienvenidos! El último capítulo del "Evangelio de la misericordia" nos narra un acontecimiento que se ha repetido en prosa y en cantos, que ha inspirado a las obras de arte más conocidas, que ha suscitado conversiones e inspirado a los cristianos en el camino a la santidad. Comienza con dos discípulos desencantados, que están abandonando la causa por la cual, tres años antes, habían dejado todo. Pero ahora, después de tres días de esperar al Maestro en el que habían creído, se habían convencido de su tontería, y partían para tratar de reconstruir las vidas que habían dejado atrás. En un fin de semana se les había escapado el único ideal que había llenado sus corazones jóvenes. En su camino se les aparece Cristo, pero aunque lo veían, algo les impedía reconocerle. Aquí nos tenemos que preguntar, por qué? Por qué no reconocen su rostro después de haberlo seguido por tres años? Por qué no reconocen su voz después de haber dejado todo el día que escucharon su llamada? Por qué no reconocen sus palabras después de haberlo oído predicar? Tal vez es porque, como ellos mismos admiten, Él ha desilusionado las esperanzas que tenían, de que Él fuera el libertador de la nación de Israel. El obstáculo no es que no tengan a Jesús al lado, caminando con ellos, es que ellos esperan ver a alguien diferente. Así nunca verán a Jesús, por más claro que se les aparezca. La esperanza que ellos habían tenido, pequeña y a su medida, no les deja aceptar la gloria y el gozo de la resurrección! Pero Jesús no los deja alejarse. Quiere conquistárselos para siempre. Hace la finta de seguir adelante para que lo inviten a cenar. Y ahí, en la intimidad de un pequeño cuarto, se les revela al entregarse en la Eucaristía. Eufóricos, corren hasta Jerusalén bajo la luz de las estrellas. Ha resucitado, y vive con ellos para siempre! Se dejaron conquistar por la esperanza que les ofrece Jesús, y en la Eucaristía lo llevan consigo para siempre.
