1 Presentation / Certifications Environmental management The Group's Management Systems Office introduces and maintains the environmental management system according to international standard ISO 14001:2004. The Group has been certified by the British Standards Institution (BSI), in accordance with ISO (certificate EMS629508). In accordance with the principle of 'Respect for the environment' that is stated in the Group s Sustainable Development Policy, in the area of management systems, the environmental strategy is established in the Group's Integrated Management Policy. In this policy, the following areas of action are determined for environmental management: Respecting biodiversity and improving the Organisation s environmental behaviour, by reviewing environmental aspects, improvement programmes and staff awareness. Promoting the efficient and sustainable use of natural and energy resources, providing the information and resources required to help reduce environmental impact, fight against climate change and reduce pollution. Ensuring that all assumed legal and regulatory requirements applicable to the products and services managed are met. Optimising process operations, through quality, efficiency and continuous improvement, strengthening homogeneity, seeking synergies and innovation and also ensuring effective communications between different stakeholders. Working with administrations, organisations and public and private bodies to promote actions aimed at environmental improvement. Involving our suppliers, contractors and other partners in responsibility and reciprocal commitment based on the principles established in the policy. Supporting the purchase of energy-efficient products and services and designs to improve energy consumption. As part of the environmental management system, each unit with a certified management system will be involved in: Identifying and assessing environmental aspects of the Organisation, in accordance with the method established by the Group, and determining which aspects are significant. Evaluating the environmental risks derived from potential aspects. Establishing specific goals and objectives focused on improvement, and carrying out periodic monitoring. Identifying and meeting regulatory and other requirements.
