Within the C&B&I (Crown & Bridge & Implant) offer, Brånemark System is the most versatile and clinically proven system. Spare parts, needed to maintain already performed reconstructions, will always be available when old products are replaced with new, improved alternatives. Definition Spare parts are defined as prosthetic components and instruments in the Nobel Biocare product range, which are essential in order to maintain reconstructions that have already been performed on patients (clinical demand). No product returns are accepted. Product Facts Many of the spare parts have been, or will be, subject to the same changes as within the ordinary product range, including new labels and packaging. Some product names have been slightly changed in order to harmonize with the ordinary products, e.g. some abutment screws have the TorqTite surface. These changes are being introduced gradually. 5 NOBELESTHETICS Multi-unit Abutment, NP/RP/WP Multi-unit Abutment English Multi-unit Abutment The device is intended as a permanent intra-oral abutment secured to the fixture on which a multiple unit prosthetic restoration is screw-retained. Contraindications Support for single-tooth restorations. Cleaning and Sterilization Recommendation The devices are delivered sterile. Opened packages of abutments that have never entered the oral cavity of a patient may be cleaned and steam autoclaved again following the established routines at the local hospital or clinic for similar products. Procedure The abutment is connected to the fixture using a pre-mounted disposable mounting device. The mounting device is then disconnected from the abutment. Correct seating of the abutment can be verified by a radiograph. The abutment screw is tightened to 35 Ncm using the Multi-unit Screwdriver. Precautions It is imperative that the fixture head is free from tissue remnants before seating the abutment. Note the importance of entering the inner-threading of the fixture in the direction of the center axis of the fixture. The angulated abutments 17 and 30 are only intended when the fixture inclination is unfavourable in direction to the desired position of the screw access hole. Contraindications Single-tooth restorations. Cleaning and sterilization The devices shall be cleaned and sterilized before intra-oral use following the established routines within the hospital/clinic. Modified abutments and restorations from dental laboratory are cleaned and sterilized (if indicated) following standard routines for dental laboratory work. Procedure Following fixture level impression and necessary adjustments, the cylinders are incorporated in the bar construction by laser welding. At delivery, following cleaning and sterilization, the bar construction is secured to the implant with abutment screws. The abutment screw is finally tightened to 35 Ncm. Precautions It is imperative that the fixture head is free from tissue remnants before seating the titanium cylinder, bar, fixture level. Note the importance of entering the inner-threading of the fixture in the direction of the fixture s center axis. Contraindications Single-tooth restorations. Cleaning and Sterilization The devices shall be cleaned and sterilized before intra-oral use following the established routines within the hospital/clinic. Modified abutments and restorations from dental laboratory are cleaned and sterilized (if indicated) following standard routines for dental laboratory work. Procedure Following fixture level impression and necessary adjustments, soldering or conventional lost wax techniques are employed for producing the restoration. At delivery, following cleaning and sterilization, the Gold Cylinder, Bar, Fixture Level is connected to the fixture by manual tightening of the abutment screw with the aid of a Unigrip Screwdriver. Verify with a radiograph that the Gold Cylinder, Bar, Fixture Level is completely seated on the fixture head before final tightening of the abutment screw to 35 Ncm. Procedure The abutment is connected to the fixture with the aid of a special manual driver. The abutment should interlock with the fixture s external hexagon. Verify with a radiograph that the abutment is completely seated on the fixture head before final tightening of the abutment screw to 15 Ncm. A Manual Torque Wrench can also be used for final tightening. Precautions It is imperative that the fixture head is free from tissue remnants before seating the abutment. In the maxilla, severe bone resorption and/or poor bone quality have been shown to affect the treatment result negatively. Produktfakten Die Änderungen, die innerhalb der normalen Produktpalette anfallen, betreffen auch viele der Ersatzteile einschließlich neuer Etiketten und Verpackungen. Einige Produktnamen wurden leicht verändert, um sie an die normalen Produkte anzupassen; so besitzen beispielsweise einige Abutmentschrauben eine TorqTite -Oberfläche. Verfahren Das Abutment wird mit der vormontierten Einweg- Einbringvorrichtung mit dem Implantat verbunden. Die Einbringvorrichtung wird dann von dem Abutment abgenommen. Der korrekte Sitz des Abutments kann mit einem Röntgenbild überprüft werden. Die Abutmentschraube wird mit dem Multi-unit Schraubendreher mit 35 Ncm festgezogen. Es ist wichtig, dass das Abutment beim Aufsetzen mittig in Richtung des Innengewindes des Implantats gesetzt wird.
