La juventud de hoy participa más y más en la vida política Una encuesta municipal reciente revela que las preocupaciones principales de los jóvenes son la seguridad personal, el acceso a la educación, los servicios para la juventud y el medio ambiente. También indica que los jóvenes reconocen que las decisiones tomadas por los políticos afectan todos los aspectos de sus vidas. Miguel Mendoza, un joven universitario quien representa a su comunidad local en el ayuntamiento, dice que toda su vida se ha interesado en la política ya que siempre se discutían estos temas en reuniones familiares. Según él, ser la voz de la juventud en un foro político es muy poderoso y poder influenciar el voto en asuntos que afectan a los jóvenes es muy emocionante. Además, proponer y discutir leyes que mejoran el nivel de vida de toda la comunidad hace que uno se sienta muy orgulloso. Otro beneficio de esta participación es el conocimiento más profundo que uno adquiere al entender cómo funciona el sistema gubernamental. Creo que se necesita una perspectiva equilibrada. Si tu idea es pasarte el día adentro, pues, el clima no importa tanto. En cambio, si prefieres pasarte un día muy activo, entonces, sí importa el clima. Cada uno con su gusto. Allí te sientes más cerca de la naturaleza y libre de las preocupaciones cotidianas. Tomar las vacaciones en invierno es una decisión bien pensada. No sólo puedes encontrar alojamiento barato, sino que también los vuelos cuestan menos. Además si llevas ropa térmica no te tienes que preocupar por resfriarte.
