1 Divine Mercy Sunday April 27/ Domingo de la Divina Misericordia 27 de Abril The feast of Divine Mercy Sunday is celebrated today, April 27 th starting at 2:30 pm. A Holy Hour will be observe to include Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, the Chaplet of Divine Mercy, midday prayer and Benediction. A plenary indulgence is granted if the following conditions are met on Divine Mercy Sunday: receiving communion, performing works of mercy, reciting the Chaplet of The Divine Mercy and by going to confession as close as possible to Mercy Sunday. The indulgence grants complete forgiveness of sins AND punishment due to sin for those who observe Divine Mercy Sunday. Jesus asked that the Chaplet of The Divine Mercy be recited as a Novena beginning on Good Friday. And, He promised, By the Novena (of Chaplets) I will grant every possible grace to souls. (Diary, 796) You are encouraged to make a Novena in the privacy of your own home. La Festividad del Domingo de la Divina Misericordia se celebra hoy 27 de abril comenzando a las 2:30 pm. The Children s Choir will be singing at the 9:00 am mass on Pentecost Sunday, June 8th. This will be the last event until the choir resumes in September, and it s a great chance for new members to join. Students and families will be donating non-perishable food items on an ongoing basis. These items will be taken to the Holy Cross food pantry. Tours are held on Tuesdays by appointment ( ). You are invited to tour your wonderful school and receive more information. If you know of a potential family, please pass the word. Kindergarten Round-Up is Sunday, April 27 from 2-4 PM at the school. Information regarding kindergarten readiness and the HCCSF kindergarten program will be provided.
