Traer comida para compartir San Jose (Marzo 19) En el Plan de Dios, San José tuvo un papel esencial: Dios le encomendó la gran responsabilidad y privilegio de ser el padre adoptivo del Niño Jesús y de ser esposo virginal de la Virgen María. San José, el santo custodio de la Sagrada Familia, es el santo que más cerca está de Jesús y de la Santísima de la Virgen María. San Mateo (1,16) llama a San José el hijo de Jacob. Probablemente nació en Belén, la ciudad de David del que era descendiente. Al comienzo de la historia de los Evangelios (poco antes de la Anunciación), San José vivía en Nazaret. Según San Mateo 13,55 y Marcos 6,3, San José era un "tekton". La palabra significa en particular que era carpintero. San Justino lo confirma, y la tradición ha aceptado esta interpretación. Nuestro Señor Jesús fue llamado "Hijo de José", "el carpintero" (Jn 1,45; 6,42; Lc 4,22). Como sabemos no era el padre natural de Jesús, quién fue engendrado en el vientre virginal de la Virgen María por obra del Espíritu Santo y es Hijo de Dios, pero José lo adoptó amorosamente y Jesús se sometió a él como un buen hijo ante su padre. Cuánto influenció José en el desarrollo humano del niño Jesús! Qué perfecta unión existió en su ejemplar matrimonio con María! Saint Joseph (March 19th) Saint Joseph is the husband of Mary, the mother of Jesus and the step father of Jesus. St. Joseph s major appearances are in the Infancy narratives in the gospels of Matthew and Luke. Each contains a genealogy of Jesus tracing his ancestry back to King David. Significant differences between the two versions reflect the theological interests of the two evangelists. Nonetheless both agree that Mary and Joseph were betrothed to be married when Mary was discovered to be pregnant. Luke s version emphasizes the perspective of Mary, stating that the salvation of the world was rooted in the Mary s Fiat ( Behold, I am the handmaid of God. Let it be done to me according to your word ). But in Matthew s Gospel we receive the story in the perspective of Joseph. Here the discovery of Mary s pregnancy precedes any divine reassurance, thus presenting Joseph with a terrible dilemma. But her husband Joseph, being a just man and unwilling to put her to shame, resolved to divorce her quietly. But when angel appears to him in his sleep and explains the source of Mary s condition, he apparently is satisfied. A silent figure throughout the Gospel, Joseph utters no words to correspond to Mary s heartfelt Magnificat Prayer. His actions however reflect the same pious consent to a plan beyond his understanding. When Joseph woke from sleep, he did as the angel of the Lord commanded him: he took his wife but knew her not until she bore a son, and he called his name Jesus. (Matt. 2:18). Atención Quinceañeras! 3 Page 3 March 19, 2017 Del Escritorio Del Párroco Fiftieth World Day of Peace, Pope Francis The decisive and consistent practice of nonviolence has produced impressive results. The achievements of Mahatma Gandhi and Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan in the liberation of India, and of Dr Martin Luther King Jr in combating racial discrimination will never be forgotten. Women in particular are often leaders of nonviolence, as for example, was Leymah Gbowee and the thousands of Liberian women, who organized pray-ins and nonviolent protest that resulted in high-level peace talks to end the second civil war in Liberia. Nor can we forget the eventful decade that ended with the fall of Communist regimes in Europe. The Christian communities made their own contribution by their insistent prayer and courageous action. Particularly influential were the ministry and teaching of Saint John Paul II. Reflecting on the events of 1989 in his 1991 Encyclical Centesimus Annus, my predecessor highlighted the fact that momentous change in the lives of people, nations and states had come about by means of peaceful protest, using only the weapons of truth and justice. This peaceful political transition was made possible in part by the nonviolent commitment of people who, while always refusing to yield to the force of power, succeeded time after time in finding effective ways of bearing witness to the truth. Pope John Paul went on to say: May people learn to fight for justice without violence, renouncing class struggle in their internal disputes and war in international ones. The Church has been involved in nonviolent peacebuilding strategies in many countries, engaging even the most violent parties in efforts to build a just and lasting peace. Such efforts on behalf of the victims of injustice and violence are not the legacy of the Catholic Church alone, but are typical of many religious traditions, for which compassion and nonviolence are essential elements pointing to the way of life. I emphatically reaffirm that no religion is terrorist. Violence profanes the name of God. Let us never tire of repeating: The name of God cannot be used to justify violence. Peace alone is holy. Peace alone is holy, not war! La Iglesia se ha comprometido en el desarrollo de estrategias no violentas para la promoción de la paz en muchos países, implicando incluso a los actores más violentos en un mayor esfuerzo para construir una paz justa y duradera. Este compromiso en favor de las víctimas de la injusticia y de la violencia no es un patrimonio exclusivo de la Iglesia Católica, sino que es propio de muchas tradiciones religiosas, para las que «la compasión y la no violencia son esenciales e indican el camino de la vida». Lo reafirmo con fuerza: «Ninguna religión es terrorista». La violencia es una profanación del nombre de Dios. No nos cansemos nunca de repetirlo: «Nunca se puede usar el nombre de Dios para justificar la violencia. Sólo la paz es santa. Sólo la paz es santa, no la guerra».

This person would be responsible for maintaining, repairing and the upkeep of the school building and campus grounds. Duties will include routine maintenance and repair of HVAC units, lighting, plumbing and facility equipment. Applicant will be responsible for daily cleaning of classrooms, bathrooms and common areas of the school as well as routine maintenance throughout the year of floors and pressure washing walkways. Candidate will be responsible for routine maintenance of campus grounds. This position requires technical and mechanical knowledge, the ability to lift 50 pounds and use of ladders.
