4 4 Regular ER Verbs How to change (conjugate) a verb in Spanish: 1. Write the whole verb (with the er ending) and the pronoun. The whole verb is also called an infinitive verb. Example: Yo beber Tú comer 2. Take off the ending ( -er ). What you have left is called the stem. Example: Yo beber Yo beb Tú comer Tú com 3. Add the appropriate ending to the stem. NOTE: Make sure you use the correct ending for the type of verb you are changing; use er endings with er verbs.
