We believe that in the life, death and Resurrection of Jesus the Father reveals all his love for humanity. That is why Christ calls himself the sheepgate (Jn. 10: 7). As the gate, he stands guard over the creatures entrusted to him. He leads them to the good pastures: I am the gate. Whoever enters through me will be safe. He will go in and out, and find pasture (Jn. 10: 9). Jesus Christ is truly the world s Shepherd. Our hearts must be open to his words. We are all one in Christ. The Lord has led us as he leads the flock. Jesus Christ never ceases to be the sheepgate. And despite the history of humanity s sins against life, he never ceases to repeat with the same vigor and love: I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly (Jn. 10: 10). Saint John Paul II VOCATIONS, WITNESS TO THE TRUTH We are all called to adore Christ in our hearts (1 Pet 3:15) in order to allow ourselves to be touched by the impulse of grace contained in the seed of the word, which must grow in us and be transformed into concrete service to our neighbor. We need not be afraid: God follows the work of his hands with passion and skill in every phase of life. He never abandons us! He has the fulfillment of his plan for us at heart, and yet he wishes to achieve it with our consent and cooperation. Let us dispose our hearts therefore to being good soil, by listening, receiving and living out the word, and thus bearing fruit. The more we unite ourselves to Jesus through prayer, Sacred Scripture, the Eucharist, the Sacraments celebrated and lived in the Church and in fraternity, the more there will grow in us the joy of cooperating with God in the service of the Kingdom of mercy and truth, of justice and peace. And the harvest will be plentiful, proportionate to the grace we have meekly welcomed into our lives. Creemos que en la vida, muerte y resurrección de Jesús, el Padre revela todo su amor a la humanidad. Por eso precisamente Cristo habla de sí como la puerta de las ovejas (Jn 10, 7). Como puerta, vela por las criaturas confiadas a él. Nos conduce a buenos pastos: Yo soy la puerta; si uno entra por mí, estará a salvo; entrará y saldrá y encontrará pasto (Jn 10, 9). Jesucristo es verdaderamente el Pastor del mundo. Nuestro corazón debe estar abierto a sus palabras. Todos somos uno en Cristo. El Señor nos ha conducido como conduce su rebaño: Jesucristo nunca deja de ser la puerta de las ovejas. Y, a pesar de la historia de los pecados de la humanidad contra la vida, no cesa de repetir con la misma fuerza y el mismo amor: Yo he venido para que tengan vida y la tengan en abundancia (Jn 10, 10). VOCACIONES, TESTIMONIO DE LA VERDAD San Juan Pablo II Todos estamos llamados a adorar a Cristo en nuestro corazón (cf. 1 P 3,15) para dejarnos alcanzar por el impulso de la gracia que anida en la semilla de la Palabra, que debe crecer en nosotros y transformarse en servicio concreto al prójimo. No debemos tener miedo: Dios sigue con pasión y maestría la obra fruto de sus manos en cada etapa de la vida. Jamás nos abandona. Le interesa que se cumpla su proyecto en nosotros, pero quiere conseguirlo con nuestro asentimiento y nuestra colaboración. Dispongamos por tanto nuestro corazón a ser terreno bueno para escuchar, acoger y vivir la Palabra y dar así fruto. Cuanto más nos unamos a Jesús con la oración, la Sagrada Escritura, la Eucaristía, los Sacramentos celebrados y vividos en la Iglesia, con la fraternidad vivida, tanto más crecerá en nosotros la alegría de colaborar con Dios al servicio del Reino de misericordia y de verdad, de justicia y de paz. Y la cosecha será abundante y en la medida de la gracia que sabremos acoger con docilidad en nosotros. Con este deseo, y pidiéndoos que recéis por mí, imparto de corazón a todos la Bendición Apostólica.
