Everyday activities. Adjectives: describing people, things, physical states and emotions. 4 September 3 rd Sentences structure: subjects, verbs and predicate. 2 SESION PROGRAM 1. Subjects: Introduction to the course, Greetings and farewells. Objective: the students will practice greetings and farewells and will introduce themselves to their classmates. August 31 st Review of Greetings. Activity: Presentations : yourself saying your name, age, where you are from, and the activities you like to do. In a big circle, one of the students starts and then the next need to repeat the information of the first students, his own information, then the next students until the activity finishes with the teacher saying the information of all the students.

3 SESION PROGRAM 2. September 1 st Subjects: The alphabet and general vocabulary. Objective: the students will practice the alphabet spelling letters, words and phrases, using vocabulary about numbers, pronouns, days, time expressions, holydays, months and seasons of the year. Activity: spelling contest. The students will practice the alphabet. Then will receive information about the different type of numbers. The teacher will ask them to come to the board to write the spelling numbers. To finish the class they will receive and practice more vocabulary. It is suggested to organize them in small teams and make a spelling contest with the vocabulary revised. Del 13 al 19 tienen la terminación -teen (la terminación suena como <tin>): thirteen, fourteen, fifteen, sixteen, seventeen, eighteen, nineteen.

4 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90 tienen la terminación -ty (la terminación suena como ti>): twenty, thirty, forty, fifty, sixty, seventy, eighty, ninety Para formar las decenas se añade un guión después de la decenas y el número: twentyone, twenty-two, twenty-three... (veintiuno, veintidós, veintitrés...), forty-one, fifty-two, ninety-eight.. (cuarenta y uno, cincuenta y dos, noventa y ocho...) Para las centenas sería: a / one hundred, two hundred...(cien, doscientos...) Para unir las centenas con las decenas se le añadirá and, two hundred and fifty-five... ( doscientos cincuenta y cinco) Para los millares sería: a / one thousand, two thousand... (mil, dos mil...) Para los millones sería: a / one million, two million... (un millón, dos millones...) LOS NÚMEROS ORDINALES (ORDINAL NUMBERS) Primero, segundo y tercero son así: 1st first 2nd second 3rd third La abreviatura de los números ordinales se forma con el número en cifra seguido por las últimas dos letras de la palabra completa. 1st (first), 2nd (second), 3rd (third), 20th (twentieth), 23rd (twenty-third)... Del cuarto al decimoavo tienen la terminación -th: Las decenas, millares y el millón también tienen la terminación -th: Para los números 20th, 30th, 40th, 50th, 60th, 70th, 80th y 90th (la terminación suena como <tiez>)

5 Las decenas se unen con un guión al igual que los números cardinales, pero las unidades tienen la terminación -th, menos first que termina en -st, second que termina en - nd, y third que termina en -rd. 6 SESION PROGRAM 3. September 2 nd Subjects: The present simple with the verb to be (affirmative, negative and interrogative) uses and examples. Everyday activities and adjectives. Objective: the students will describe themselves and their family using adjectives about physical states and emotions. Activities: Describing physical states and emotions. The students will describe writing about them using adjectives about their states and emotions. PRESENTE SIMPLE (PRESENT SIMPLE) El presente simple se utiliza para hablar de cosas que suceden repetidamente o cotidianamente. Se suele utilizar con los siguientes adverbios de tiempo: every day - usually - often - sometimes... I eat every day at school./ Yo como cada día en la escuela. También se utiliza para hablar de hechos que son en general verdad: Elephants live in Africa and India./ Los elefantes viven en África y en India. Al conjugar el presente simple se tiene que añadir una s final al verbo pero sólo en las terceras personas. Cuando el verbo termine en o se le agrega es también sólo en las terceras personas. Los verbos to be, to have tienen una conjugación diferente. 8 SESION PROGRAM 4. September 3 rd Subjects: Sentences structure: subjects, verbs and predicate. Articles, prepositions, adverbs and conjugations. Objective: the students will identify the sentences structure using articles, prepositions, adverbs and conjugations. Activities: Designing complex sentences : the teacher will explain the general structure of a sentence giving examples and asking the students their own examples using the information provided. ARTÍCULOS Determinado. Es invariable; el, la, los, las = the Indeterminado. Un, una = a o an (si la siguiente palabra empieza por vocal o h muda, de la que sólo hay tres comunes: tour, honest, honour). Unos, unas = some, en frases afirmativas; any, en frases negativas e interrogativas.

10 SESION PROGRAM 5. September 4 th Subjects: Wh questions and demonstrative pronouns. Objective: the students will practice questions and answers using the Wh questions and demonstrative pronouns. Activities: designing a questionnaire Knowing people. The teacher after explaining the Wh questions and practicing them will ask the students to design a questionnaire to look out for information about their partners. How to answer Wh questions, practice with oral exercises. Demonstrative pronouns (this, these, that, those) Review Wh s questions Who = quién, si se refiere a personas. How = cómo, se refiere a describir algo o a alguien. When = cuándo, se refiere a tiempos. What = qué, lo qué, se aplica al género neutro. Where = Dónde, hace referencia a lugares.
