After a secular preparation, God considered that a man was capable of receiving the revelation of his intimate life, of his Trinitarian mystery. God-Love sends his Son so that the veil of his mysterious intimacy opens up to us, and the Holy Spirit instructs us interiorly so that we are not fools or blinded by so much divine radiance. The God of Jesus Christ is first of all a God of donation: the Father gives us his Son, the Father and the Son give us his Spirit, the Father, Son and Spirit give us their own life making us children of God. The God of Jesus Christ is a God of salvation: The Father wants all men to be saved, the Son carries out the salvation of all in his blood, the Spirit makes the salvation of God effective in the heart of every man. The God of Jesus Christ is a God of mission: Get on the road, make disciples of all peoples, baptize them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teach them to do everything that I have commanded you. The revelation of this divine mystery can be grasped a little with intelligence, but something more is penetrated with the heart and with the experience of God in prayer. Therefore, this mystery is not a barrier between God and man (if it were so, God would not have revealed it to us), but an intense, living, constant impulse to desire to enter more into it to be amazed, ecstatic. Now the new Israel, the Church, experiences the closeness of the Father in the presence and in the face of his Son, Jesus Christ, by virtue of the Holy Spirit whose mission is to make present in time and history the complete truth about God and about the man. In the time of the Church, not only the Son, but also the Father and the Spirit, are really with us and in us. In all times it has been true that if God does not exist, he will have to be invented. And so it has been effectively. There is no town or culture, from the most primitive to the most advanced, that has not been made their gods. The history of religions attests to this. Even atheists are not exempt from this law. They will change the face of their idols, they will idolize the "Party", they will worship the "Boss", they will fight to plant heaven on earth... It is evident that one cannot kill that which man has inscribed in his very nature. In human history, generations have seen many idols fall, but new ones emerge. At the moment in which we live, the idols created by communism have fallen precipitously, other idols are collapsing as the technique, progress, money, eroticism... We are at a very propitious time for Christians to talk to the world not of idols, but of the one true God, who Jesus Christ has revealed to us. It is a great pity that, when many men need someone to speak to them about God, Christians immerse themselves in silence because of ignorance, fear or excessive human prudence. Let us not be afraid, God himself will put on our lips the right words so that we may speak well of Him. Make God-Love visible. Possibly, Christians do not make God visible, because we do not have a living experience of Him, because our dealings with God are sometimes more with an abstraction than with a living God, who is called Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Justice becomes visible in a righteous man, truth in a truthful man, love in a man who really loves, for in the same way God becomes visible in a man who has experienced love, tenderness, greatness and beauty of God; in a man "who has seen, heard, touched" God in Sacred Scripture, in prayer, in the sacraments, in the brother. Is it not true that every Christian should be like a monstrance of the living God, of Trinitarian Love? If God is no longer present in our world, let us not be discouraged. Let's say: "It's time for efforts, it's time for responsibility". Let's do it!

4 Page 4 Solemnity of the Holy Trinity May 27, 2018 Solemnidad de la SANTÍSIMA TRINIDAD El Dios de Jesucristo. Tras una preparación secular Dios consideró que el hombre estaba capacitado para recibir la revelación de su vida íntima, de su misterio trinitario. Dios- Amor envía a su Hijo para que nos descorra algo el velo de su misteriosa intimidad, y el Espíritu Santo nos instruye interiormente para que no seamos necios ni quedemos ofuscados o ciegos ante tanto resplandor divino. El Dios de Jesucristo es ante todo un Dios de donación: el Padre nos dona a su Hijo, el Padre y el Hijo nos donan su Espíritu, el Padre, Hijo y Espíritu nos donan su propia vida haciéndonos hijos de Dios. El Dios de Jesucristo es un Dios de salvación: El Padre quiere que todos los hombres se salven, el Hijo lleva a cabo la salvación de todos en su sangre, el Espíritu hace eficaz en el corazón de cada hombre la salvación de Dios. El Dios de Jesucristo es un Dios de misión: Ponerse en camino, hacer discípulos a todos los pueblos, bautizadlos en el nombre del Padre y del Hijo y del Espíritu Santo, enseñadles a poner por obra todo lo que yo os he mandado. La revelación de este misterio divino se puede captar un poco con la inteligencia, pero se penetra todavía algo más con el corazón y con la experiencia de Dios en la oración. Por eso, este misterio no es una barrera entre Dios y el hombre (si fuera así, Dios no nos lo hubiese revelado), sino un impulso intenso, vivo, constante a desear adentrarse más en él para quedar maravillados, extasiados. Ahora el nuevo Israel, la Iglesia, experimenta la cercanía del Padre en la presencia y en el rostro de su Hijo, Jesucristo, en virtud del Espíritu Santo cuya misión es hacer presente en el tiempo y en la historia la verdad completa sobre Dios y sobre el hombre. En el tiempo de la Iglesia, no sólo el Hijo, sino también el Padre y el Espíritu, están realmente con nosotros y en nosotros. En todas las épocas ha sido verdad que si Dios no existe, habrá que inventarlo. Y así ha sido efectivamente. No hay pueblo ni cultura, desde la más primitiva hasta la más avanzada, que no se haya fabricado sus dioses. La historia de las religiones da fe de ello. Ni siquiera los ateos están exentos de esta ley. Ellos cambiarán el rostro de sus ídolos, divinizarán al "Partido", darán culto al "Jefe", lucharán por plantar el cielo en la tierra... Es evidente que no se puede asesinar eso que el hombre lleva inscrito en su misma naturaleza. En la historia humana, las generaciones han visto caer muchos ídolos, pero surgen otros nuevos. En el momento en que nos toca vivir, los ídolos creados por el comunismo han caído estrepitosamente, se derrumban otros ídolos como la técnica, el progreso, el dinero, el erotismo... Estamos en un momento muy propicio para que los cristianos hablemos al mundo no de ídolos, sino del Dios único y verdadero, que nos ha revelado Jesucristo. Es una enorme pena que, cuando muchos hombres necesitan que alguien les hable de Dios, los cristianos nos sumerjamos en el silencio por ignorancia, por temor o por excesiva prudencia humana. No tengamos miedo, Dios mismo pondrá en nuestros labios las palabras justas para que hablemos bien de Él. Hacer visible a Dios-Amor. Posiblemente, los cristianos no hacemos visible a Dios, porque no tenemos una experiencia viva de Él, porque nuestro trato con Dios es a veces más con una abstracción que con un Dios vivo, que se llama Padre, Hijo y Espíritu Santo. La justicia se hace visible en un hombre justo, la verdad en un hombre veraz, el amor en un hombre que ama realmente, pues de esa misma manera Dios se hace visible en un hombre que ha experimentado el amor, la ternura, la grandeza y belleza de Dios; en un hombre "que ha visto, ha oído, ha tocado" a Dios en la Sagrada Escritura, en la oración, en los sacramentos, en el hermano. No es verdad que cada cristiano debería ser como un ostensorio del Dios viviente, del Amor trinitario? Si Dios no está más presente en nuestro mundo, no nos desalentemos. Digámonos: "Es hora de esfuerzos, es hora de responsabilidad". Manos a la obra!
