Because the Feast of the Immaculate Conception falls on Sunday this year, it has been transferred to Monday, September 9. We will celebrate the feast at our usual morning mass at 8:30am. 3 The boiler that heats the water to heat the auditorium did not pass inspection. The boiler works, but it is very old. I have contracted Tri State Mechanical to install a new boiler. Tri State installed the boiler in the church two years ago. El calentador que calienta el agua para calentar el auditorio no paso la inspeccion. El calentador trabaja, pero es muy Viejo. Christmas baskets / Holy Name Food Pantry With Thanksgiving and Christmas fast approaching, our food pantry is in need of canned goods, cereals, etc. Any donations are greatly appreciated. Please drop donations in baskets that are placed in the church foyer. Computer classes Beginning on Monday, January 9th., from 10:00am-12:00noon we plan to start a computer class for all who would like to learn how to use a computer. We will teach Microsoft Word, Microsoft Office, Excel, Internet as well as help you get an address and teach you how to send s etc. Minnie Martinez and her son, Julio, who is a computer technician, will give the classes. Ted Henderson has also signed on to help. These classes usually cost more than one thousand dollars. Your cost will be $40.00 for the book and $2.00 per week. Clases de Computadora Empezando el Lunes, Enero 9, de las 10:00 a 12:00 del medio día planeamos empezar una clase de computación para todos aquellos que quieran aprender a usar una computadora. We have installed a new wáter line to the auditórium and put in an ice-making machine. 4 On Saturday, December 7, starting at 8:00am we will have a garage sale in the school parking lot. We have lots of items stored in our school that we do not use desks, chairs, lockers, etc. I would rather see someone make use of them than for us to simply store them. If anyone wishes to donate items towards the sale, they are welcome to do so. El sabado, 7 de diciembre, empezando alas 8:00am tendremos una venta de garage en el estacionamiento de la escuela. Si alguien gusta donar cosas para la venta, es bienvenidos para hacerlo. New computer Ted and Irma Henderson donated a new computer to our Church. It is better than any computer we had. We are using it in our Church office, much to the joy of Dulce, our Secretary. Nueva Computadora Ted e Irma donaron una computadora nueva a la iglesia. We have a leak in the roof over the restroom in the auditorium. It needs a company with specialized machinery to do the repair. Jose Gomez who put the new roofs on our school and rental houses will find a company for us. Tenemos un goteo en el techo del baño del auditorio. Affordable Care Act We will have a presentation on the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act after the weekend masses of December 7th & 8th. Following the presentation, we will have a chance to visit with the presenters in the cafeteria for further discussion and help.. They will also bring computers to help you sign up if you wish. La Acta Proteccion del Paciente y Cuidado Accesible (PPACA), Tendremos una presentacion de estas actas despues de las misas de fin de semana del dia 7 y 8 de diciembre. Despues de la presentacion tendremos la oportunidad de ir a la cafeteria con los presentadores para responder a preguntas y si necesita ayuda. Tambien tendran computadoras para ayudarle a apuntarse si lo desea.

Jose Rivera, a long-time parishioner of Holy Name died suddenly but peacefully in his sleep on Sunday, 17th. His Mass of Resurrection was at Holy Name and his burial was in Mateuala, Mexico. Please remember him and his wife in your prayer. Jose Rivera, un feligres de muchos años de nuestra parroquia Holy Name fallecio repentinamente pero en paz mientras dormia, el domingo 17. Su misa de Resureccion fue aquí en Holy Name y fue sepultado en Mateuala, Mexico. Porfavor recuerdenlo a el y a su esposa en sus oraciones. Let us pray for Ray Amezquita who was killed in a car accident this past Saturday. His funeral mass was here at Holy Name on Wednesday.
