2 Install Ring Before you install your Valance Brackets, you will need to install the ring onto the Crank Bracket. Using the Ring Screw provided in the pole package, attach the Ring to the Crank Bracket. See Fig A. Be sure to tighten this screw completely. Fig A Step 1: Install Valance Brackets Determine your type of installation. Your solar shade can be hung from a wall or a ceiling. See Figures B and C. WALL INSTALLATION CEILING INSTALLATION Your shade is shipped with a protective film to prevent scratching during shipping. Remove this film prior to installation. Fig B Fig C Your shade includes three (3) Valance Brackets, you must install at least two (2) of them. Install one (1) Valance Bracket near each end of the shade. Note: the Valance Brackets cannot be installed on the extreme edges of the shade, you will need to allow at least 2 inches (5.08 cm) at the ends of each side. We recommend installing the brackets on the closet stud to each end of the shade, remembering to allow at least 2 inches (5.08 cm) from each end. If you are installing a third bracket, install it near the center of the shade (ideally on a wood stud). Install the Valance Brackets into wood studs. If wood studs are not available, you will need to use anchors (not included). See your local hardware store for more information. Some shade models include a paper template to help align your pilot holes. If your shade includes a template, temporarily adhere it to your installation area, making sure it is straight and level, then mark and drill your pilot holes. Remove the paper template before installing your Valance Brackets. WALL INSTALLATION CEILING INSTALLATION For wall installations, you need to allow at least 1 inch (2.54 cm) above the bracket to allow the valance to hook onto the bracket (only if there is a ceiling that overhangs the shade). See Figure D. For ceiling installations, you need to allow at least 1 inch (2.54 cm) behind the bracket to allow the valance to hook onto the bracket (only if there is a wall behind the shade). See Figure E. Fig C Fig E Fig D It is very important that your brackets are perfectly aligned with each other (your shade will not install correctly unless your brackets are perfectly aligned with each other). We recommend using a laser level to align the screw holes. WALL INSTALLATION CEILING INSTALLATION Fig F For a wall installation, make sure the plastic tabs on your Valance Brackets are pointing towards the ground (Fig F). Use the screws from your hardware box to install these brackets. Fig G For ceiling installation, make sure the plastic tabs on your Valance Brackets are pointing out, towards you (Fig G). Use the screws from your hardware box to install these brackets.

3 Step 2: Install the shade For wall installations, first hook the back of the Valance on the top of Valance Brackets (Fig H), then rotate the shade down and click into place (Fig I). WALL INSTALLATION Note: you may need to push the plastic tabs on the Valance Brackets to help the shade click into place. Fig H Fig I For ceiling installations, first hook the back of the Valance on the back of the Valance Brackets (Fig J), then rotate the Valance upwards and click it into place (Fig K). CEILING INSTALLATION Note: you may need to push the plastic tabs on the Valance Brackets to help the shade click into place. Fig J Fig K Step 3: Assemble Pole To assemble your pole,, slide the Pole-Mid Piece onto the Pole-Long Piece, making sure the holes are pointing towards the handle (see Fig L). Then slide the Pole- Handle Piece into the Pole-Mid Piece. Pole-Long Piece (PLP12) Place the Pole Lock Washers onto the Pole Screws (with hex heads). Note: the Washers may already be on the screws. Insert the Pole Screws into the Pole-Mid Piece. Tighten with the Hex Key provided. Note: Not all of the Pole-Long Piece is shown in Fig L. To use the pole simply place the hook into the ring on the Crank Bracket, and turn the Pole-Handle Piece. Fig L Pole-Mid Piece (PMP12) Pole-Handle Piece (PHP12)

4 Install Bungee System Your shade includes two (2) Bungee and Hooks to secure the bottom of your shade. To install the Bungee System, start by feeding the Bungee through the Bottom Tube Plugs located at the end of your Bottom Tube (Fig M). Then insert the Bungee into the Hook and drill the Hook into a wall/post using one (1) screw (Fig N) from your hardware box. Important: Your shade should be rolled up during windy conditions. The Bungee System is only effective in light wind. Fig M Fig N Reversing the roll direction of your shade (optional) Note: if you do this step, you will need to flip the gear on the Crank Bracket to prevent the fabric from interfering with the ring. Please see the section below called Flipping the Gear for more information. If you want to reverse the roll of your fabric, simply roll the shade down completely. After the fabric is completely lowered, continue rolling the shade it will roll itself back up in the opposite direction. Switching Crank Bracket to the Left Side of the Shade (optional) Note: if you do this step, you will need to flip the gear on the Crank Bracket to prevent the fabric from interfering with the ring. Please see the section below called Flipping the Gear for more information. 1. Remove both Valance Covers (RVC09 and LVC09). After you have removed the Valance Covers, switch their positions (move the left cover to the right side of the shade, and move the right cover to the left side of the shade). 2. Next, remove the Plug Bracket and the Crank Bracket by loosening the screws and set the Plug Bracket and Crank Bracket on the ground. It is not necessary to completely remove the screws, you only need to loosen the screws. DO NOT reverse the Plug Bracket and Crank Bracket positions. 3. Remove the Valance (leaving the shade on the ground) and reverse (flip around) the Valance. You do not need to reverse the shade fabric or the Valance Covers. 4. Replace the Plug Bracket and Crank Bracket as well as both Valance Covers. IMPORTANT: When replacing the Plug Bracket and Crank Bracket, be sure to push them in completely before tightening the screws. The screws should align with the threaded screw holes. Flipping the Gear (optional) If you changed the roll direction of your shade, or you moved your Crank Bracket to the left side of your shade, you will need to flip the gear portion of your Crank Bracket to prevent the ring portion of the Crank Bracket from interfering with your fabric. Remove the Valance Covers from the shade. Next, remove the Crank Bracket from the shade by loosening the three (3) screws that secure the Crank Bracket to the Valance. Then remove the two (2) screws on the outside of the Crank Bracket (See Fig O). Fig O Separate the two (2) pieces of the Crank Bracket (See Fig P). Fig P Flip the gear portion and reattach with the two (2) screws (See Fig Q). Fig Q Maintenance To clean your shade, simply rinse with water and soap and scrub with a soft brush. Note: Using bleach or an abrasive cleaner will void your warranty. Roll the shade down to air dry. 6 Instalación del Anillo Antes de instalar su soportes de doselera, usted necesitará para instalarel anillo al Soporte de Manivela.Usando el Anillo al Soporte de Manivela. Ver Fig. A. Cerciórese de apretar este tornillo completamente. Paso 1: Instalación de los Soportes de la Doselera Fig A Determine su tipo de instalación. Su persiana solar puede ser colgada de la pared o techo. Ver figuras B y C. Su persiana es enviada con una película protectora para prevenir rayaduras durante su envío. Remueva esta película antes de instalar. Instale un (1) Soporte de Persianacerca de cada extremo de la persiana. Nota: los soportes de la doselera no pueden ser instalados en las orillas de extremo de lapersiana, usted debe de permitir por lo menos 2 pulgadas (5,08 cm) de cada extremo de la persiana. Nosotros recomendamos instalar los soportes lo más cerca de la viga en cada lado de la persiana, permitiendo una distancia por lo menos 2 pulg. (5,08 cm) en cada extremo. Si usted está instalando un tercer soporte, instale cerca del centro de la persiana. (idealmente sobre una viga de madera). Instale los soportes de la doselera en las vigas de madera. Si las vigas de madera no están disponible, usted necesita usar taquetes (no incluidos). Consulte con su tienda ferretera local para más información. Algunos modelos incluyen una plantilla de papel para ayudar a alinear los orificios. Si su sombra incluye una plantilla de, temporalmente se adhieren a su área de instalación, asegurándose de que esté recto y nivelado, a continuación, marque y perfore los agujeros piloto. 7 Paso 2: Instalación de la Persiana Para la instalación en la pared, primero enganche la parte de posterior de la Doselera en la parte arriba del Soporte de la Doselera (Fig. H), después gire la persiana para abajo y fije en su posición (Fig. I). INSTALACIÓN EN PARED Nota: quizás necesite empujar las lengüetas plásticas en los Soportes de la Doselera para ayudar a la persiana fijarse en su lugar. Fig H Fig I Para la instalación en el techo, primero enganche el reverso de la Doselera al reverso de los Soportes de la Doselera (Fig. J), entonces gire el Soporte hacia arriba y fije en su lugar (Fig K). Nota: quizas necesite empujar las lengüetas plásticas en los Soportes de la Doselera para ayudarle a la Persiana a fijarse en su lugar. Fig J INSTALACIÓN EN TECHO Fig K Paso 3: Ensamble del Poste Para ensamblar el poste,, deslice la pieza de poste intermedia sobre la pieza de poste larga, cerciórese que los agujeros estén apuntando hacia la manija (ver Fig L). Entonces deslice el Pieza de poste de Manija dentro de la Pieza de Poste Intermedia. Coloque las Arandelas Fijadoras sobre los Tornillos de Poste (con cabezas hexagonales). Nota: las Arandelaspueden ya estar en los tornillos. Introduzca los tornillos del poste en la Pieza de Poste Intermedia. Apriete con la llave hexagonal proporcionada. Nota: No se muestra toda la pieza de poste larga en la Fig. L. Para usar el poste simplemente coloque el gancho en el anillo en el soporte de manivela y gire la Pieza de Poste de Manija. 8 Instalación del Sistema Elástico Bungee Su persiana incluye dos (2) Cuerdas Bungee Elásticas y Ganchos para asegurar la parte inferior de la persiana. Para instalar el Sistema Cuerda Elástica, empiece metiendo la Cuerda Elástica a través de los tapones del tubo inferior situados al final del Tubo Inferior (Fig. M). Después introduzca la Cuerda Elástica por dentro del Gancho y taladre el Gancho en la pared/poste usando (1) tornillo (Fig. N). de su caja de artículos de ferretería. Importante: su persiana deberá de ser enrollada hacia arriba en condiciones de viento. El Sistema de Cuerda Elástica es solamente efectivo en viento ligero. Fig M Inviertiendo la dirección del rollo de su persiana (opcional) Nota: Si usted hace este paso, usted necesitará voltear la marcha en el Soporte de Manivela para prevenir que la tela interfiera con el anillo. Por favor vea la siguiente sección llamada Volteando la Marcha para más información. Si usted quiere cambiar la dirección de la tela, simplemente desenrolle la persiana hacia abajo completamente. Después que la tela está totalmente hacia abajo, continúe enrollando la persiana.. La persiana se volverá a enrollar por si sola en la dirección opuesta. Cambiando el Soporte de Manivela al lado Izquierdo de la Persiana (opcional) Nota: Si usted hace este paso, usted necesitará voltear la marcha en el Soporte de Manivela para prevenir que la tela interfiera con el anillo. Por favor vea la siguiente sección llamada Volteando la Marcha para más información. 1. Remueva ambas Cubiertas de las Doseleras (RVC09 y LVC09). Después de que usted haya quitado las Cubiertas de las Doseleras, cambie sus posiciones. (mueva la cubierta izquierda a lado derecho de la persiana y mueva la cubierta derecha a lado izquierdo de la persiana). 2. Después, remueva el Soporte de Tapón y el Soporte de Manivela por medio de soltar los tornillos y coloque el Soporte de enchufe en el piso. No es necesario quitar los tornillos completamente, usted sólo necesita aflojar los tornillos. NO invierta las posiciones del Soporte de Tapón y el Soporte de Manivela. 3. Remueva la Doselera (dejando la persiana en el piso) e invierta (voltee para el otro lado) la Doselera. Usted no necesita invertir el lado de la persiana o voltear las Cubiertas de la Doselera. 4. Reemplace el Soporte de Tapón y el Soporte de Manivela así también ambas cubiertas de la Doselera. IMPORTANTE: Cuando reemplace el Soporte de Tapón y el Soporte de Manivela, asegúrese de empujarlos completamente hacia adentro antes de apretar los tornillos. Los tornillos deben de estar alineados con los agujeros roscados. Cambiando de la dirección del rodillo (opcional) Si usted cambio la dirección de su persiana, o movido su Soporte de Manivela al lado izquierdo, usted necesitará invertir la porción de la marcha de su soporte de Manivela para prevenir que la porción de anillo del Soporte de Manivela interfierá con la tela. Remueva la Cubierta de Doselera de su persiana. Después, remueva el soporte de manivela de la persiana por medio de aflojar los tres (3) tornillos que aseguran el Soporte de Manivela de la Doselera. Entonces remueva los dos (2) tornillos en el exterior del Soporte de Manivela. (Ver Fig. O). Mantenimiento Fig O Separe las dos (2) piezas del Soporte de Manivela (Ver Fig. P) Para limpiar su cortina, simplemente lave con agua y jabón y talle con un cepillo suave. Nota: al usar cloro o limpiador abrasivo se cancelará la garantía. Desenrolle la persiana hacia abajo para que se seque al aire libre.
