9 Un Pan del todo especial Juan 6, Oración introductoria Jesús, ayúdame a valorar la Eucaristía. El poder vivir para siempre, por Ti, es mi gran anhelo. Quiero hablar contigo y escuchar tu Palabra para recibirte con el amor que te mereces; sin ningún interés personal, sólo la ilusión de que me llenes de Ti y me hagas experimentar tu amor. Petición Señor, no permitas que pierda nunca las oportunidades de recibirte en la Eucaristía. Dame siempre de ese Pan! Reflexión San Justino, de familia pagana, convertido luego al cristianismo, murió mártir el año 165 d.c. Enseñó filosofía en Roma y escribió abundantes obras sobre la fe y la religión cristiana. En sus "apologías" explica lo fundamental de la fe católica, del credo y de los sacramentos, y refuta las falsas acusaciones que ya desde entonces comenzaban a circular en contra de la Iglesia. Entre otras cosas - para que veamos cuán absurda y atrevida es la ignorancia!- se acusaba a los primeros cristianos de antropofagia y de convites truculentos e idolátricos porque pensaban que comían carne y bebían sangre humana. Habían oído, en efecto, que el que presidía las asambleas decía: "Tomad y comed: éste es mi cuerpo. Tomad y bebed: ésta es mi sangre". Así fue como lo interpretaron los judíos que escuchaban a nuestro Señor. Y era lógico que no lo aceptaran, que lo criticaran e, incluso, que se escandalizaran de El. El rechazo hacia Jesús se iba pronunciando cada vez más, a medida que nuestro Señor hablaba, hasta abrirse un abismo y convertirse en un camino sin retorno... Pero nuestro Señor continúa su discurso: "Yo soy el pan vivo bajado del cielo: el que coma de este pan, vivirá para siempre. Y el pan que yo daré es mi carne, para la vida del mundo. El que come mi carne y bebe mi sangre, tiene vida eterna, y yo lo resucitaré en el último día". Estas palabras de Jesús, tan claras como misteriosas, sólo podían ser acogidas en un clima de fe. Y es una evidente anticipación de lo que sucedería el Jueves Santo, en aquella hora solemne y de intimidad con sus apóstoles, cuando instituía la Eucaristía: "Esto es mi Cuerpo, que se entrega por vosotros. Esta es mi Sangre, derramada por vosotros y por todos los hombres, para el perdón de los pecados". Ahora, en este momento, estaba cumpliendo su promesa. Y les invitaba a los Doce a repetir este mismo gesto, de generación en generación: "Haced esto en memoria mía". Cada santa Misa, cuando el sacerdote pronuncia estas palabras de nuestro Señor, está perpetuando su sacramento. Y no se trata de un simple recuerdo, sino de un "memorial". Es decir, de una celebración que "revive" y actualiza en el hoy de nuestra historia el misterio de la Eucaristía y del Calvario, por nuestra salvación. En cada santa Misa, Jesucristo renueva su Pasión, muerte y resurrección, y vuelve a inmolarse al Padre sobre el altar de la cruz por la redención de todo el género humano. De modo incruento, pero real. Por eso cada Misa tiene un valor redentor infinito, que sólo con la fe podemos apreciar! El beato Titus Brandsman, sacerdote carmelita holandés, pasó varios años en los campos de concentración alemanes durante la persecución nazi. Tenía prohibida la celebración de la Eucaristía, pero él se ponía junto con los otros prisioneros y recitaba de memoria las oraciones de la Misa, el Evangelio y les predicaba a sus compañeros de prisión; luego hacían la comunión espiritual: él fijaba los ojos en cada uno de los presos y les decía: "el Cuerpo de nuestro Señor Jesucristo guarde tu alma para la vida eterna". Al poco tiempo fue transferido a láger de Dachau. Allí los sacerdotes alemanes sí podían celebrar y clandestinamente pasaban la hostia santa a los otros sacerdotes que no eran alemanes, como Tito. El comulgaba, daba la comunión a los otros prisioneros y se guardaba un pedacito en el estuche de sus lentes para la adoración nocturna. De ese "pan" del todo especial sacaba fuerzas para soportar las torturas y ofrecer sus sufrimientos. Un día fue duramente golpeado por la guardia nazi del campo de concentración y aguantó la paliza sin odios ni maldiciones. Después confesó: " Ah, yo sabía quién estaba conmigo!". En 1942 murió mártir en Dachau. Además del santo Sacrificio, podemos gozar de la presencia real de Jesucristo nuestro Señor en el Sagrario durante las veinticuatro horas del día. Se cuenta que el santo cura de Ars se dejaba embargar particularmente por la presencia real de Cristo Eucaristía. Ante el Tabernáculo solía pasar largas horas de adoración, durante la noche o antes del amanecer; y durante sus homilías, solía señalar al Sagrario diciendo con emoción: "El está ahí". Por ello, él, que tan pobremente vivía en su casa rectoral, no dudaba en gastar cuanto fuere necesario para embellecer la iglesia. Pronto pudo ver el buen resultado: los fieles tomaron por costumbre ir a rezar ante el Santísimo Sacramento, descubriendo, a través de la actitud de su párroco, el gran misterio de la fe. Propósito Ojalá que también nosotros aprendamos a valorar y a vivir con inmensa fe y amor, como los santos, el misterio sacrosanto de la Eucaristía: que cada santa Misa y Comunión sea como la primera y la última de nuestra vida. Y que acudamos con frecuencia al Santísimo para amar, agradecer, adorar a nuestro Señor, y para pedirle por las necesidades de todo el género humano. El allí nos escucha. Las promesas del Sagrado Corazón de Jesús: Jesús le prometió a Santa Margarita de Alacoque, que si una persona comulga los primeros viernes de mes, durante nueve meses seguidos, le concederá lo siguiente: 1. Les daré todas las gracias necesarias a su estado (casado(a), soltero(a), viudo(a) o consagrado(a) a Dios). 2. Pondré paz en sus familias. 3. Los consolaré en todas las aflicciones. 4. Seré su refugio durante la vida y a la hora de la muerte. 5. Bendeciré abundantemente sus empresas. 6. Los pecadores hallarán misericordia. 7. Los tibios se harán fervorosos. 8. Los fervorosos se elevarán rápidamente a gran perfección. 9. Bendeciré los lugares donde la imagen de mi Corazón sea expuesta y venerada. 10. Les daré la gracia de mover los corazones más endurecidos. 11. Las personas que propaguen esta devoción tendrán su nombre escrito en mi Corazón y jamás será borrado de Él. 12. La gracia de la penitencia final: es decir, no morirán en desgracia y sin haber recibido los Sacramentos.
