the baptism of the lord january 11, 2015 JMJ JMJ 6 January 2015 6 de enero 2015 My Dearest Parish Family, God be with us always Querida Familia Parroquial, Dios esté siempre con nosotros! So are things back to normal? This is the question several of my friends asked me during the days following Christmas. My knee jerk response is to say yes to keep it short, but upon further reflection and prayer the answer I would have given is, No it is not back to normal. The reason being that the Advent and Christmas Season with everything that it entails, should have had a lasting effect in my life, and in our lives, which means things cannot go back to normal. The Spirit and Essence of the Season should have brought significant blessings and changes in our life and the way we live from Christmas day. The New Year gives us a perfect opportunity to reorder our lives, let the Light of the Spirit emanating from the Christ Child in the manger keep guiding our minds and warming our hearts. As we celebrate the Baptism of the Lord let us reflect and pray on how to bring into our lives the gifts of our adoption into God s Family: faith, hope and love. Our sharing in the Mission of our Saviour Jesus Christ is to bring the good news to all the world. May we all agree that indeed things are not back to normal because we have faith, hope and love incarnate with us; Jesus the Emmanuel. God bless and take care. Love and prayers, Fr. Thomas Paul K. Naval Dios los bendiga y cuídense. Con mi amor y mis oraciones, Fr. Thomas Paul K. Naval

Fray Gilberto Cavazos-Glz, OFM, Copyright J. S. Paluch Co.
