ear friends in Sacred Heart: D Jesus is stretching out His hands constantly to save us! If we walk away from Him, if we forget His teachings, if we make a mistake, HE will be ready to receive you at any time! And sometimes we don't see this action as a gift but an obligation because HE is GOD the powerful and almighty creator! How easy can we lose the path and take J.S. Paluch Co., Inc. for granted this sight of mercy and turn it into a convenient way to live? We misunderstand God's love for us and we continue living in a world of errors, and when we feel that we can't go any further then we start looking for God's help... How merciful He is to never pay us back with the same coin of indifference and ingratitude. I invite you to keep what is good for God in your heart! Keep looking for God all the time... Not only when you "feel like it". Do not hesitate, God is blessing you and assisting you every day in your journey... You will be walking on the water! I want to let you know that we going to stop receiving clothes donations inside the church. Generous people have been dropping off bags of clothing donations at the Church front doors and we used to put the donations inside of the crying room in a red cart; sometimes the red cart is not big enough for the bags and we turn our crying room into a storage room. In order to dignify our place of worship I invite you to place all your clothes donations into the white St. Vincent de Paul container, located in our parking lot. We hope to add extra clothes container in the parking lot in the near future. Thank you so much for your understanding and your support! Peace to all, Fr. Francisco Ortega Fr. Friedl Health Update: He is still recovering slowly from his back surgery at St. Benedict Nursing/Rehab Home in Niles, IL. Physical Therapy is helping him regain his strength, however a blood clot in his foot and a sore on his foot have been new challenges. All cards should be sent to Sacred Heart Parish Rectory. He thanks everyone for their prayers and asks that you continue praying for him. The church north air conditioning unit is now finished and working. It seems to really help cool the church nicely. The school was ordered by the State Fire Marshall to bring some hallway fire doors and door closing mechanism up to state fire code back in March. This project is currently being completed this week. There are new hallway fire doors in the primary building, new boiler room doors in both buildings, new panic bar closers for the hallway fire doors in the upper grade building, and new door closers on all the classroom doors in both buildings. There was a roof leak on the School upper grade west building roof that was repaired in late July. The major flooding damage in our church/primary school boiler room on June 24, 2014 is being evaluated and repairs will include a partially new electrical panel that powers the entire parish block, a new or rebuilt boiler, a new water heater, sump pumps, and various other pumps, mechanicals and controls. We are still working with the insurance company on this and hope it will be finished reasonably soon. The drain sewers in the courtyard parking lot has collapsed and we are still waiting for the village to help us with a replacement. That is why there are safety barricades up around it. Sorry for the inconvenience. Our Parish School will be starting Thursday, August 21. We welcome all the school children and families back to Sacred Heart. We are hoping for a good enrollment this year. A big THANK YOU to the donor of our new clock in the rear of church. It closely resembles the original clock that was there when the church was built. The old clock missed Fr. Friedl and stopped working! Paz y bien Fr.
