3 In this study of Global Research Laboratory (GRL) : Clarify the development of the mechanism of heavy precipitation system along the Changma front, water vapor and Typhoon etc. : Found out its occurrence mechanism, development processing, and QPE/QPF. First Phase of Research Intensive Field Experiment carried out : at Jeju Island and Marado
4 Intensive Field Experiment At Jeju Island and Marado : From June 22 to July 12, 26 Instruments for detection of precipitation : S band NEXRAD, POSS, Raingauges, Radiosonde(4 times a day) and Filter papers In addition, for the characteristic of chemical composition : Aerosol number concentration and Rain sampling Analyzing data : POSS, filter papers and raingauges to get some Z-R relationships and DSDs in each precipitation system (typical Changma front, developed Changma front with a low pressure system and Typhoon).
