Additionally, if the noun being described is plural, we must also make the color word plural. Ex. Las casas son blancas. Color words that end in letters other than o are neutral. They simply need to be made plural if necessary. 2

A verb is an action word. In Spanish, verbs that mean to end in the letters ar, er, ir. In order to say I talk we must change the ending letters of the word to talk. Therefore we drop the ar and make it an o. The new word, hablo, means I talk Look at the underlined verb endings above to see the patterns. Because of this, their endings begin with the letter e except in the yo form. In other words, er verb endings are the same as ar verb endings except we use the letter e instead of the letter a for the first letter of each ending. *Hacer=to do/to make *Yo hago I do/make Nosotros(as) hacemos we do/make Tú haces you do/make Él hace he does/makes Ellos hacen they do/make (boys or mixed) Ella hace she does/makes Ellas hacen they do/make (girls only) Ud. hace you (formal) do/make Uds. hacen you all do/make Although the verb hacer is an er verb and uses the same verb endings as leer and comer, it is slightly irregular (it doesn t follow the pattern completely) in the yo form. Notice the letter c in the stem changed to the letter g. 9 REGULAR VERB ENDINGS (-ar, -er, -ir) Steps to follow: 1. Check to see what kind of verb it is ar, er, ir. 2. Tear away the last two letters. 3. Attach the ending that matches the pronoun.
