1 When a Student chooses not to wear the proper uniform, the parent/guardian will be notified through a written warning and a telephone call home. If the Student is dressed in inappropriate attire, i.e. opened toed shoes, clothes baring midriff or cleavage, pants that are below the waist or excessively tight clothing, the Student will be sent to the office and the parents/guardians will be notified to bring the appropriate uniform. If the problem continues, a meeting with the principal will be required to discuss the issue, and dismissal from Pathways to College will be considered. If you cannot obtain a uniform due to financial difficulty, please contact the school office; likewise, if you are in a position to be able to provide a uniform for a Student who needs one, please contact the office at Acceptable Clothing Shirts: Shirts must have a collar such as a polo shirt. royal blue, sun gold-- color polo shirt colors must be solid, (a polo shirt is a 2-4 buttoned, collared, short or long-sleeved shirt) to be worn Monday through Thursday any school spirit shirt with the official school logo or specified school-related emblems are to be worn on Fridays only. Long sleeved t-shirts may be worn under the polo or spirit shirts. Shirts may not reveal midriff when hands are raised above the head. Sweaters, sweatshirts, hoodies or jackets: must not have any insignia that is gang related or that displays lewd, vulgar, obscene or plainly offensive language or symbols; may be worn outside ONLY and removed upon entering the classroom. Pants: Pants khaki (tan), black, navy blue, one solid color are to be worn Monday Friday. Denim jeans are acceptable and may be worn if they are navy blue or black only on Fridays. No jeggings, sweatpants, basketball shorts, pajamas or jogging pants allowed. Pants must be hemmed and without holes Pants must be worn on the waistline. Pant legs should not be disproportionately oversized or drag on the ground... Sagging WILL NOT be tolerated. Shorts / Skirts / Skorts / Capri s / Jumpers khaki (tan), black, navy blue one solid color. Shorts, skirts, skorts and jumpers must be longer than the student s fingers when hands are at their sides. Shorts may not be shorter than mid-thigh or extend more than two (2) inches below the knee from a standing position. Capri s may be worn by female Students. All hems must be finished straight with no cuffs or rolls. If you hold your hand to your side, your clothing must be at least as long as your fingertips. Shorts must be worn underneath skirts. All bottoms must be worn on the waistline. Shoes: Shoes must be closed-toed and closed heeled and must have a rubber sole. No slippers, flip-flops or sandals may be worn, boots are acceptable if warn with pants and not tucked in. Socks: Blue, black or white socks must be worn at all times, unless it is deemed appropriate with the type of shoe. Belts: Must not have any insignia that is gang related or that displays lewd, vulgar, obscene or plainly offensive language or symbols and may not have studs. Jewelry/Head Coverings: No spikes, plug, or eyelet earrings of any kind or size may be worn. No facial piercing is permitted, including clear studs. No bandanas, sweatshirt hoods or head coverings of any kind are to be worn inside by either male or female. Makeup: Girls in grades 6-8 may wear minimal make-up. There are to be no unusual or distracting colors, such as black lipstick. Hair: All students shall maintain their hair in a clean, well-groomed manner. Hairstyles must comply with the general dress code guidelines (neatness, avoidance of showiness, etc.). Hair must not be conspicuous, extreme, or odd in color or style that it would draw undue attention. Unnatural hair colors (e.g. red, blue, green, hot pink, etc.) We will be involved with our community, so a professional appearance is a necessity. In the event that a Student arrives on campus in violation of the hair policy he/she will be sent home immediately In addition, perfumes and body sprays are not allowed on campus due to staff and peers with allergies. Aerosol sprays of any type are not allowed on campus for safety reasons. Roll on deodorant is allowed on campus.

2 Names must be written on all items of removable clothing, i.e. sweaters, sweatshirts, jackets. If jackets are left, they will be donated to local charities. Backpacks will be allowed in our campus, they must be size and age appropriated and shall not display gang related, lewd, vulgar, obscene or offensive language or symbols. Wheeled or rolling backpacks are discouraged due to limited space. Solid color t-shirts, polos and hoodies with the Pathways logo can be purchased in the front office. It is our desire to foster good grooming and good judgment as well as make all our Students feel that they are equally important as individual people and not by what brand of clothing they wear. Therefore, at Pathways we have implemented a uniform policy. This policy is mandatory for all Students and no exceptions will be made. All Students are required to wear the school uniform each and every day, as stated in the uniform policy, unless otherwise informed. It is sometimes difficult to make sure that pants, shirts, socks, etc. are washed and ready all the time; however, the uniform policy was agreed upon and accepted at the time you chose to enroll your Student at Pathways. Therefore, you need to be aware that there are no exceptions for incorrect uniform pieces. Students need to be reminded of their responsibility to wear proper clothing and parents/guardians need to be aware that the uniform policy will be enforced. Where Can You Find These Clothes?

Deben ser rodeados con bastilla clásica y sin agujeros. No se tolerará ninguna "ropa floja". Pantalones cortos, Faldas con o sin pechera: El largo debe ser dos 2 centímetros debajo de la rodilla desde una posición de pie. Pantalones Capris pueden ser usados por estudiantes femeninas sola mente. La vastilla de los pantalones deben ser parejas no apretadas. La ropa debe ser al menos tan larga como al alcance de la punta de sus dedos. Zapatos: Zapatos debe ser cerrado de los dedos y cerrado de tacón y debe tener una base de goma. No pueden ser usados zapatillas, chanclas o sandalias, botas son aceptables si se usan con pantalones y no con los pantalones metidos en ellas. No pueden ser usados aretes en aro, Picos, aretes de cejas o anillos de cualquier tipo o tamaño. No pañoletas, capuchas o gorros de sudadera de cualquier tipo están para ser usados dentro de las aulas esto aplica a hombres y mujeres. No aretes faciales están permitidos, incluyendo clavos trasparentes.

4 Cabello: Todos los eruditos deben estar atento cada día. Colores de cabello natural (Rosa, por ejemplo, rojo, azul, verde, caliente, etc.) y peinados extraños no están permitidos. Estaremos involucrados con nuestra comunidad, por lo tanto un aspecto profesional es una necesidad. En caso de que un erudito llega en campus en violación de la política de pelo enviará inicio inmediatamente además perfumes, de cuerpo no se permiten en el campus debido al personal y a sus compañeros con alergias.
