1 Home-School Connection Dear Family Member: I m reading Stormy Weather in class. I m learning to look for things that are alike and different. There are different kinds of storms. But all storms are alike in some ways. The sky turns gray when a storm is coming. There may be lightning and thunder during a rainstorm. This Week s Skills Comprehension: compare and contrast Phonics: the sound of or as in fork Word Workout WORDS TO KNOW great know warm sound extreme predict their Sentence Time I ll say a sentence with a missing word. I ll say blank for the word. You can repeat the sentence using one of the words above for the missing word. SPELLING WORDS cork horn corn fork pork born Art Time Draw pictures for the two spelling words that rhyme with pork. Then label each picture.
