3 Introduction The ProSpanish Course focusses on the key structures necessary for effective communication in Spanish. For best results, pause the video to give yourself time to formulate your answers to the questions posed. Some learners benefit from writing down their answers during the first few lessons, while others prefer to only think them through. Whichever method you choose, we strongly advise that you say out loud your answers as this assists with both pronunciation and sentence construction. Listening exercises While it is not essential to complete the listening tasks to progress, we recommend them if you have the time. Each one is based on the corresponding lesson and therefore reinforces new language and increases fluency. Vosotros and Usted Vosotros is the you plural part of the verb, however it is rarely used outside mainland Spain. It is therefore, included in the verb tables but not the video lessons as its inclusion would significantly slow down learning. Once you are confident with the video lessons it will be very easy to understand and remember the extra vosotros endings if you require them. Usted is you formal and has the same form as he and she, so no extra endings need to be learnt.

It s good because it s something different. 7. Tienes algo para mí? Do you have something for me? 8. Es para ti; es urgente. It s for you; it s urgent. 9. Quiero comer algo. Tienes paella? I want to eat something. Do you have paella? 10. Es malo para ti, pero es bueno para mí. It s bad for you, but it s good for me.

You can live with me if you want.
