Ending time is the same. Please call the office before 2:30pm if your child s transportation will be different than normal. All approved visitors and volunteers always need to sign-in at the office. Please call the office if your student will be absent from school. Bring in your box tops! Cairo Chili Feed Thank you to everyone that attended this year's Cairo Chili Feed! It was such a great success! Cairo appreciates all of the support from the community, parents, and students. Thank you to all the generous donations and volunteers! We hope everyone enjoyed the night and we look forward to seeing you all next year! Thank you! Aristocats Play Cairo school will be attending the Aristocats play on April 12th at the Four Rivers Cultural Center. Students will have lunch at school before attending the play. 3 Cairo Attendance Report We strive for each classroom to have at least a 92% attendance rate each month. The following is to provide you with Cairo s attendance rates for the month of March: Cairo (as an entire school): 94.91% Kinder: 93.25% 1st Grade: 94.12% 2nd Grade: 96.55% 3rd Grade: 96.35% 4th Grade: 96.00% 5th Grade: 92.71% After each quarter, students with perfect attendance will be recognized. Perfect attendance consists of being at school everyday, all day, with no tardies and no early check-outs. Lost and Found Parents, please be sure to check out the lost and found box. Lots of lost items have accumulated throughout the school year. Any items left on the last day of school will be donated to the Gem Text recycling station. Spring Safety Tips With the warmer weather, children are out to play. The following are some safety tips to be aware of during the spring time: April Showers With spring upon us, we will be expecting lots of rainy and windy weather. For those rainier days, parents please make sure that your student brings a jacket with a hood, an umbrella, and/or rain boots. The sidewalk is clear and children are beginning to ride their bikes. Remind your child to always wear their helmets, knee and elbow pads. With the sun shining, be sure to stay hydrated. Drink lots of water. Also, be sure to wear sun screen. Too much sun can damage the skin. Spring is a popular time for sports. Be sure that your child has all the appropriate safety equipment to protect them.
