Welcome Introductions/Elections of Chairperson, Vice Chairperson, and Secretary - Meeting took place on October 26, :00 6: 30 at the Saugus Office. First, Mrs. Isa DeArmas introduced herself, she is the Director of the DELAC Program and spoke about the program. Every person in attendance introduced themselves as well as parents, grandparents and Saugus Union English Learner families. - The Superintendent, Dr. Lucid spoke and explained the maps showing the different schools areas pertaining to the DELAC program. II. Review Minutes June 22nd, 2015 Director of Curriculum & Instruction III. Purpose, Role, Requirements of DELAC-Review - Our Committee on November 3, 2016 has information about the percentages of different school located on the map the information is found on the internet. - All students from different sites within the district take a test in order to determine their proficiency level in English in all areas such as reading, writing, speaking, etc. The goal is for education development and improvement. - A parent explained that her child was learning English. - Another parent also expressed that her children need to improve in reading. - Dr. Hamlin Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction. IV. Introduce Parent and Community Liaison Purpose, Role, Responsibility - Coordinator to help homeless students. - Clear instruction of language to prepare students for the future. - Dr. Hamlin (Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum & Instruction) explained the budget that is needed for education. This budget also helps children that are homeless receive an education and learning. V. Assessments: California English Language Development Test (CELDT) California Assessment of Student Performance & Progress (CAASPP) VI. VII Professional Development for Teachers and Administrators in the area of Systematic ELD and Constructing Meaning SUSD English Language Program PowerPoint (Review) - The State requires what language is spoken at home when the student registers for school in order to provide additional support. As the student improves in English it is necessary to motivate them. - Our mission, vision, and progress is this program s goal. - Marking Growth Targets, English Learner Charts shows the English language growth. Map for English language development. Percentages of English language learners in the instruction program for English language development. We have teachers Mrs. Aida Rodriguez

2 VIII. and coaches in education (DELAC). In Saugus Union they designate 30 minutes specifically for language development. - Reclassification of English Learners criteria for improvement over the course of this year. - The goal is to assess students each year in order see student progression. Parental Involvement and Engagement - The question was that we are here in order to learn more about the program. All the teachers has the credentials in order to support the California ELA/ELD structure. These programs are so that students are prepared for college or university. - Parents or guardian of a child have the obligation to participate in their child s education. - Increasing parent involvement was also brought up as well as student involvement. IX LCAP Summary of Goals - Summary of Goals and Expenditure for SUSD LCAP Goal Increase Student Achievement - Dr. Hamlin spoke about the program and how it works - The goal of this program is how the students are performing in class when heading to high school, college or universities there is a desire to help the students achieve the preparation and improvement and achieve their goals. /Dr. Christine Hamlin X. Provide SUSD ELD Parent Brochure (Updated) - General Information: Summary of English Language Development (Mission, Vision, and Core Values) - The ELD students that need to improve their language and to learn English better and to get a good job where they can speak English and Spanish. - All of these programs serve to better prepare students in all areas mathematics language reading and writing etc. - Discussed the program to determine whether education can change the rules or standards so that children do not split. Depending on the development of the child changes will be made to further support them. XI. Bienvenida Presentaciones/Elecciones de funcionarios: Presidente, Vicepresidente y Secretario - Junta efectuada el día 26 de octubre, :00-6:30 en la Oficina Departamento del Distrito Escolar Saugus. 1º se presentó la Sra. Isa DeArmas es Presidente general del Programa (DELAC) hablando acerca del Programa. Se presentaron todas las personas que pertenecen a esta organización de (DELAC) al igual todas las personas padres de familia, abuelas y familiares de los estudiantes de cada escuela del Distrito Escolar de Saugus. - Habló y explicó la Superintendente Dra. Lucid. Ella está hablando del mapa de donde se encuentra las diferentes áreas de la escuela donde se reporta Educación del Programa (DELAC) habló de los diferentes. II. Revisión de actas 22 de junio, 2015 Directora de Currículo e Instrucción III. IV. Propósito, Papel, Requisitos de DELAC Revisión - Nuestro Comité 3 de Nov-16 si tienen una pregunta de cómo esta información de los porcentajes de las diferentes escuelas localizadas en el mapa se encuentran toda la información en el internet. - Examen del Aprendizaje todos los estudiantes de las diferentes escuelas del distrito escolar lo toman para saber cómo están en la Educación Escolar de Ingles, en todas las áreas de lectura, escritura, conversación, etc. El objetivo es ver cuales el Desarrollo de la Educación y ver cómo se puede mejorar la educación. - Tomó la palabra una madre explicando que su hija iba aprendiendo mucho Ingles. - Otra madre opina hacerse que los niños necesitan mucho mejorar en la lectura. - Dra. Hamlin Coordinadora Superintendente del Programa de Instrucción. Presentar Coordinadora de Enlace de Padres y Comunidad Propósito, Papel y Responsabilidad - Coordinadora para ayudar a los estudiantes que no tienen hogar fijo. - La instrucción clara del lenguaje para llegar a prepararlos para el futuro. - Hablo la Sra. Dra. Hamlin (la Directora de Instrucción y Currículo) explicó sobre el presupuesto que se quiere para recibir educación. También este presupuesto sirve para ayudar a los hijos que no tiene casa recibir Educación y aprendizaje. Sra. Aida Rodriguez V. 4 VI. Desarrollo Profesional para los maestros y administradores del en el área del Desarrollo de inglés como Segundo Idioma Sistemático y Construyendo Sentido VII. SUSD Presentación de PowerPoint sobre el Programa del Desarrollo de inglés como Segundo Idioma (Revisión) - El Estado requiere saber cuándo los niños ingresan a la escuela que Idioma habla para saber cómo ayudarles. Los alumnos cuando van avanzando en el inglés se les debe de motivar. - Misión nuestra visión y progreso es el objetivo de este programa. - Metas de crecimiento especifico, Aprendices del Ingles Tabla demostrativa del crecimiento de aprendizaje de inglés. Mapa de aprendices en inglés. Segundo Lenguaje Porcentajes (ELD) Programa Instrucción en desarrollo inglés. Tenemos maestros y asesores del Educación (DELAC). En Saugus la Educación designada 30 minutos sobre lenguaje especifico. - Reclasificación de Aprendices de ingles criterio para mejores durante el transcurso del año. - El objetivo es evaluar a los alumnos cada año para saber si los alumnos van progresando. VIII. Participación y colaboración de los padres - La pregunta es hoy estamos aquí para saber acerca de este programa. Todos los maestros tienen la credencial para apoyar la estructura de este programa California ELA/ELD. Estos programas son para que los alumnos puedan prepararse para estar listo para ir al colegio y a la universidad. - Los padres y responsable de los niños tienen la obligación de participar en la educación de los niños. - También se habló sobre aumentar participación de estudiantes y padres. IX. El Resumen de objetivos y gastos para LCAP de Summary of Goals and Expenditure for SUSD LCAP Goal Increase Student Achievement - Sra. Dra. Hamlin hablo todo 10 referente a este programa supuesto y como se utiliza - Resumen sobre todo Summary of Goal for SUSD LCAP Este programa el Objetivo es como los alumnos la están hacienda en el salón para ingresar a la preparatoria colegio o universidades es el deseo de lograr que los alumnos este bien preparados y que mejoren y lleguen al lograr los objetivos de este. /Dra. Christine Hamlin X. Proporcionar el folleto de los padres de estudiantes del Desarrollo de inglés como Segundo Idioma de SUSD (Actualizado) - Información General: Resumen del Desarrollo del Inglés como Segundo Idioma (Misión, Visión, Valores) - ELD Estudiantes que necesitan mejor en el idioma y para llegar aprender bien el inglés y tener un buen trabajo donde se habla inglés y español - Todos estos programas sirven para que los estudiantes estén preparados en todas las áreas matemáticas lenguaje leer y escribir etc. - Se habló sobre este programa para saber si el ed. Puede cambiar las reglas o normas para que los niños se sigan separando. Dependiendo el desarrollo del niño se le cambia para apoyarlos con más ayuda. XI.
