1 Falcon Important Parenting Information Falcon This Week DRESS CODE Dear parents and students, the school uniform is mandatory for all students. School is a formal learning setting. We believe that attire DOES both influence and reflect school behavior and learning. We expect that the students of Falcon International School should be dressed in proper attire. The following general guidelines are offered to clarify minimal expectations for the students: 1. Clothing should be neat, clean, and in good repair and of appropriate size and length. No clothing should show undergarments, lower back, midriff, etc. 2. Excessive make up is not to be worn. 3. Shoes should be safe and practical for playground, and the color shoes should match the shoe laces. 4. Khaki skort (for girls), slacks (boys or girls), long shorts for boys Boys 1. Falcon School s Polo shirt. 2. Khaki long shorts or slacks, (not showing boxers). 3. Only black, white or brown shoes will be permitted. Sandals are allowed only during the swimming class by the pool and not in the school. 4. Student s hair should not touch the shirts collar. 5. Earrings or piercing are prohibited. 6. Undershirts with printed designs are prohibited. 7. Caps are prohibited (except where allowed by the administration). Girls, 1. Falcon School s Polo Shirt. 2. Khaki caprice or skorts, no shorts, only P.E. Shorts uniform at P.E.Class. 3. Platform shoes or high heels are not authorized. Shoes with open toes or open heels are not allowed. High heels are described as being higher than 3 inches.

2 Only black, white or brown shoes will be permitted. Sandals are allowed only during the swimming class by the pool and not in the school. 4. Color nail polish and excessive make up are prohibited. 5. Undershirts with printed designs are prohibited. 6. Caps are prohibited (except where allowed by the administration). 7. Shorts or skirts are not allowed. (On special school events and civic assemblies the students will tuck their shirts in). Physical education 1. Falcon Shorts. 2. Falcon School T-Shirt. 3. Sport shoes with no designs other than the manufacture s brand symbol 4. White ankle socks 5. Undershirts have to worn tucked in Dress Code for Trips Students will wear the Falcon official uniform on all field trips. If the activities require more comfortable clothing they may wear the physical education uniform. Dress code for Special Events: On special occasions the school holds events where students are allowed to dress in casual clothing (e.g. casual ware Day, children s day, end of year class party) Dress code on these occasions includes: Allowed 1. Jeans (any color jeans as long as they look nice and tidy). 2. Falcon school t-shirt. 3. Cargo jeans or pants (not showing boxers). 4. Carpenter jeans. 5. Fisher pants. 6. Skirts. Not allowed 1. Mini T- shirts.

3 2. Inappropriate/violent designs on t-shirts. 3. Mini shorts or shorts. 4. Spaghetti strap shirts. 5. Strapless Shirts. 6. High heel shoes. 7. Skate shoes. Hats, caps or sun visors are not allowed i.e. during classes and passing time(with the exception of PE classes, assemblies, games and other formal events held outside when approved by the administration). Body piercing, tattoos (permanent or non permanent) and scarification / branding are not permitted. This includes the tongue, but excludes girl s ear lobes and earrings. Showy hair dyes are not permitted. We would like to advise you that the dress code will be strictly enforced starting today December 12 th and until December 16 th any student who does not have the appropriate uniform will receive a warning letter. Starting January 9 th 2012, the student who does not bring the complete uniform (P.E or daily uniform) will NOT allowed at the school and this will count as an unjustified absent if he or she doesn t return to the school with the complete and correct uniform. 5 FALCON ANNOUNCEMENTS Office Hours The office is open Monday through Friday between 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. REQUIRED FOR ALL STUDENTS: Please bring ID cards to school every day!! This is how we keep track of attendance. If you do not bring your ID card, you will be considered ABSENT for that day!! REPORT CARDS Parents must be current on payments for the end of the school year ( ). All parents are required to sign any previous report cards before students begin classes. LUNCH SERVICE For the school year : The lunch program will remain unchanged On Thursday the menu for following week will be available. Fridays you must hand in your selections with the payment in advance, at school arrival time or at lunch. Zapatos abiertos con los dedos de los pies o los talones abiertos no se permiten. Tacones altos se describen como superiores a 3 pulgadas. Sólo zapatos negro, blanco o marrón se permitirá. Sandalias Sólo se permitirán durante la clase de natación y no en la escuela. 4. Color de esmalte de uñas y exceso de maquillaje se prohíbe. 5. camisetas debajo del uniforme con diseños Impresos están prohibidas. 6. Los estudiantes usan el uniforme oficial de Falcon en todas giras académicas. Si las actividades requieren ropa más cómoda pueden llevar el uniforme de educación física Código de VESTIMENTA para eventos especiales. 1. En ocasiones especiales a los ESTUDIANTES se les permite vestirse en ropa casual (por ejemplo Jeans Day, el Día del Niño, Fiesta de fin de año) Código de VESTIMENTA en estas ocasiones incluye: PERMITIDO 1. Pantalones vaqueros (jeans Cualquier color, siempre y cuando se vean limpios y ordenado) 2. Falcon t-shirt 3. Cargo jeans, pantalones (que no se muestren los boxers) 4. Carpenter jeans 5. Pantalones de pesca 6. Faldas no muy cortas que muestren la ropa interior NO PERMITIDO

8 1. Mini faldas 2. Inadecuados / violentos diseños en Camisetas. 3. Mini shorts o shorts arriba de la rodilla 4. Camisetas con tirantas de espagueti. 5. Blusas Strapless 6. Zapatos de tacón alto 7. Zapatos para patinar. Sombreros, gorras o viseras de sol no están permitidos, por ejemplo durante las clases o recesos (con la excepción de las clases de Educación Física, recesos, asambleas, juegos y otros eventos cuando es aprobado por la Administración. Piercing, tatuajes, marcas (permanente o no permanente) no son permitidas. Esto incluye la lengua, pero excluye los aretes pequeños en las orejas de las niñas. Tintes vistosos en el cabello no están permitidos. Queremos informarles que el código de vestimenta se aplicará estrictamente a partir del 12 de diciembre y hasta el 16 de diciembre a cualquier estudiante que no tiene el uniforme apropiado recibirá una carta de advertencia. A partir 09 de enero 2012, el estudiante que no lleva el uniforme completo (PE o el uniforme de todos los días) no se permitirá en la escuela y esto se contará como una ausencia injustificada, si él o ella no regresan a la escuela con el uniforme completo y correcto. 10 ANUNCIOS FALCON Horario de atención al público La oficina estará abierta de lunes a viernes en el horario de las 8:00am hasta las 4:00pm. SE REQUIRE PARA TODOS LOS ESTUDIANTES: Todos los estudiantes tienen que tener los exámenes de vista, lenguaje y audición. Ultimo día para pagar los exámenes médicos es el miércoles 26 de octubre Por favor, traer las tarjetas de identificación a la escuela todos los días!! Así es como se lleva un registro de asistencia. Si usted no trae su tarjeta de identificación, se le considera ausente ese día!! REPORTE CALIFICACIONES Todos los padres de familia deben estar al día en los pagos correspondientes al año escolar que finalizo ( ). También es un requisito firmar el reporte de notas de año antes de iniciar el nuevo año. SERVICIO DE ALMUERZO
