2 2 Section A Reading Text for use with Question 7 Superchica son unos dibujos animados con la primera superheroína de Oriente Medio que dedica sus noches a enfrentarse a las personas que intentan cerrar la escuela en la que trabaja. La valiente superheroína se viste con un traje negro y con un burka que le cubre el rostro y la cabeza, y luego sale por las noches a luchar a favor de la educación femenina de Oriente Medio. Este programa será muy importante para combatir el aumento de la radicalización islamista de las mujeres en el mundo. Este programa infantil de dibujos animados ha causado mucha polémica porque usa una prenda a menudo asociada por las organizaciones feministas con la opresión de las mujeres. Muchas asociaciones pro derechos humanos afirman que la serie es degradante para todas las mujeres valientes que luchan por los derechos de las mujeres en los lugares conservadores de Oriente Medio. No obstante, los principales objetivos del programa, según los productores, son hacer reír a la gente, entretener y transmitir mensajes sociales positivos a los jóvenes. El tema central no es la violencia, dado que la protagonista utiliza libros y bolígrafos para frustrar a sus enemigos aunque muchos otros superhéroes llegan a golpes. Los videoclips de esta serie de dibujos animados se hicieron famosos en las redes sociales, incluso antes de que la cadena hubiese empezado a promocionar la serie. Se tardó un año en crear los trece capítulos y la serie ahora se dobla también al inglés para acceder al mercado internacional. Estos dibujos animados han captado rápidamente la atención en el extranjero y por eso un distribuidor en Europa ha doblado el programa a quince idiomas y difundirá la serie en setenta países. Además, otros productos promocionales también serán puestos a la venta con el objetivo de vender el programa como una marca de Oriente Medio.
