2 THIRD SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME 2 JANUARY 24, 2016 During this Year of Mercy, we continue to reflect on how fortunate we are to have a God who wants what is good for us. Indeed, we were created to experience and receive good things. We were created to be happy. The Lord is relentless in one pursuit: Making us happy. When we are truly happy, we give glory to God. Mercy cleanses us of all things that make us unhappy and stain the glory that we are meant to offer to God. During this Year of Mercy, we allow the Lord to scoop us up in his Mercy. There are many ways that we can do that this year: Make a pilgrimage to the Holy Doors of Mercy Go to a talk about Mercy Read the writings of St. Faustina Pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet GO TO CONFESSION Perform the Corporal and Spiritual Works of Mercy (more on this later) We can do so much more but these are some ideas. More to come... May the Mercy of Jesus bless and heal you! Durante este Año de la Misericordia, continuamos a reflexionar sobre lo afortunados que somos de tener un Dios que desea lo que es bueno para nosotros.
