Partners: Association Culture and Work The Association ACW is the direct outcome of an ESF-funded application project called VERTIKULT, implemented 2002 2005 with 9 European partners aiming at the developing economic services for the field of Cultural Heritage. The association offers expertise as well as seminars and workshops for start-up companies in the cultural economy and companies, which want to open up new business fields in cultural heritage. The association has published books and brochures on cultural economic topics and supports municipalities in tourism, town marketing and regional development with instruments of cultural economy. TASKS & SELECTED EUROPEAN PROJECT PARTICIPATION TASKS: Riksantikvaren is the responsible government agency for the cultural heritage management in Norway. It is responsible for applying the Cultural Heritage Act as to supervise other legal instruments used in the protection of the immovable cultural heritage. Riksantikvaren participates in the development of government policies in the field of tourism as the competent authority on the immovable cultural heritage and as partner to environmentpolicies as part of the Ministry of Environment. Riksantikvaren supports an promotes intereuropean cooperation through EHHF (European Heritage Heads Forum) and EHLF (European Heritage Legal Forum).
