April 16, 2017 Easter Sunday of the Resurrection of the Lord He is Risen! By Dying, Christ Destroyed our Death; By Rising, He Restored our Life. With the greatest joy, we gather to celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus Christ that gave us life eternal. As we renew our Baptismal vows today and during Easter Season let us deepen our commitment to living for, with and in Christ. On Holy Thursday we celebrated Christ s institution of the Holy Eucharist and the Ministerial Priesthood. On Good Friday we commemorate the crucifixion of Jesus Christ and today, Easter Sunday, we celebrate the resurrection of our Lord, Jesus Christ. I share my joys with you this Easter Day and Season even as I ask for your prayers. Next weekend, we will celebrate Divine Mercy Sunday. Divine Mercy Sunday is a very special Sunday when the Divine Floodgates from Heaven are wide opened and Jesus offers us the total forgiveness of all sins and punishment to any soul, who goes to Confession and receives Him in Holy Communion, on that day. I invite and encourage all to come to celebrate together on Divine Mercy Sunday to receive Christ s mercy. The Pastor, Fr. Cristo muriendo, destruyó nuestra muerte; Por la resurrección, restauró nuestra vida. Con la mayor alegría, nos reunimos para celebrar la resurrección de Jesucristo que nos dio la vida eterna. A la vez que renovamos nuestros votos Bautismales hoy y durante la temporada de Semana Santa nos permiten profundizar nuestro compromiso de vivir para, con y en Cristo. El Jueves Santo celebramos la institución de Cristo, de la Eucaristía y el sacerdocio ministerial. El Viernes Santo conmemoramos la crucifixión de Jesucristo y hoy, domingo de Pascua, celebramos la Resurrección de Nuestro Señor Jesucristo. Comparto mis alegrías con ustedes este día de la Pascua y la temporada como yo os pido vuestras oraciones. El próximo fin de semana, celebramos el domingo de la Divina Misericordia. Domingo de la divina misericordia es un domingo muy especial cuando el divino compuertas del cielo son muy abiertos y Jesús nos ofrece el perdón de todos los pecados a cualquier alma, quién va a confesarse y le recibe en la sagrada Comunión, en ese día. Quiero invitar y animar a todos a que vengan a celebrar juntos el domingo de la Divina Misericordia para recibir la misericordia de Cristo. El párroco, Padre Francis, y el personal de San Henry Iglesia deseo a todos nuestros feligreses y sacerdotes, os deseo una feliz Pascua.
Catholic Home Missions Appeal Next weekend, our second collection will help support the Catholic Home Missions Appeal. This ministry helps strengthen the Church at home. St. Henry Parish Picnic Saturday, April 22, 2017 10:30am to 2:30 pm Parish Hall St. Henry Church invites our members, families, and friends to come to our parish picnic on Saturday, April 22nd from 10:30 am to 2:30 pm. The event is free to attend, with food and raffle tickets available for purchase. There will be activities for all ages and interests including: Free Children s games: balloon animals, face painting, duck pond, ping pong ball toss, lollipop tree and more. Games are free to play for all children and tickets are awarded for games played. Tickets can be redeemed for prizes. $1 BINGO games will be played in the back meeting room of the parish hall with prizes for the winners. Delicious food at will be available for purchase including hamburgers, hotdogs, pizza, & grilled sausage on a bun. Deadline for Completed Applications is Monday, May 22, 2017. 39 LED Flat Screen TV Raffle St. Henry Church has a new, 39 LED flat screen TV that will be raffled off during our Parish Picnic on April 22nd. Raffle chances are $5 each. Raffle tickets may be purchased in the church office or at the parish picnic. The Winner need not be present to win.
