PARISH NEWS The monthly collection for our Paul Society to benefit their Saturday program, will take place TODAY. Please support our fundraising efforts by joining us for coffee & donuts served by the members of our various groups in the Parish hall after the Masses on Sundays. Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Cemetery: The 7th Corporal Work of Mercy teaches us to bury the deceased with dignity. Representatives from Catholic Cemeteries Family Services program are here today. The Church has consecrated our Catholic Cemeteries to ensure that we have the appropriate place to fulfill this teaching. The counselors will have information available to help you make your own decisions. We encourage your to take advantage of this opportunity to learn about advance planning in a Catholic Cemetery. ABCD-One in Faith, One in Hope, One in Charity We need YOU. ABCD is our one opportunity during the year to reach out in support of all of the people of God beyond the boundary of our parish. We are one. Thank you to all those who have already made their pledge, so far we have received $112,821.00, which is in excess of our goal of $98,600.00. Our parish will receive the pledges paid in excess of our parish goal. If you haven t made your pledge as yet, there is still time, please place your pledge envelope in the collection basket or return to the parish office. On Thursday, April 16th, there will be a Prayer Service in place of the usual Spanish Mass. Women s Emmaus Retreat #10 in Spanish will take place from April 17th to 19th. The second collection on the weekend of April 26th will be taken up for the benefit of the Catholic Home Missions. International Cookbook: Some of our parishioners have decided to write an International Cookbook from the diverse cultures of our parish. Everyone is invited to participate by sending in their favourite recipe (typed please, word document preferred). We know you would like to share your favourite dish from your country. Religious Education News: T he Sa c ra men t o f Confirmation will be celebrated on Thursday, April 30th, by Bishop Fernando Isern at 7:30pm. The rehearsal for all the candidates and their sponsors will be on Monday, April 27th at 7:30pm. The Sacrament of First Holy Communion will be celebrated during the 10:30am Mass on May 17th. GENERAL INFORMATION SACRAMENT OF BAPTISM Ceremonies are performed in English and Spanish. Please call the Parish Office for requirements and registration. SACRAMENT OF MARRIAGE We follow the guidelines of the Archdiocese of Miami. Please call the Parish Office at least six months in advance. LETTERS OF RECOMMENDATION The necessary requirements to receive a Letter of Recommendation is to be a registered and practicing member of our parish. RELIGIOUS EDUCATION CLASSES Classes are available for children from first grade through high school age, and for Adults in English and Spanish, from September through May. Sunday 11:20am & Monday, 3:15pm. CARE OF THE SICK Please call the Parish Office to request sick calls for patients at home. After Office Hours: Please leave a message on the extension number of our Pastor, Rev. Juan J. Sosa. St. Patrick s Church has lay ministers who bring Communion to the sick in Mount Sinai. If you or someone you know is hospitalized and would like to receive Communion, please inform the hospital of your Catholic affiliation.
