20 Introducción: los tiempos de verbos Español II Me llamo 1.) In Spanish, just like in English, we use several different tenses of verbs to denote the time in which an action takes place. Look at the following English sentences, and fill in the blank with the form of the verb that sounds right. Be sure to read the complete sentence before answering. 1.) Every Monday, I (to go) to my aunt s house. 2.) Next weekend, they (to travel) to Japan. 3.) We always (swim) for at least twenty minutes. 4.) Yesterday, Sarah (to go) to the Shakira concert. 5.) This weekend, you (to play) soccer, right? 6.) Last month, I (to travel) to Florida. 7.) Two days ago, he (to walk) two miles. 8.) Soon, my sister and I (to have) our own cars. 9.) They never (to do) their homework. 2.) There are three major tenses in any language: past present future (what happened in the past) (what happens now) (what is going to happen in the future) 3.) Now, with yout partner, go back to #1-9 and label each sentence with the verb tense that describes it: past, present, or future. 4.) Para pensar!in English, how do we usually form the past tense?! How do we form the present tense?! How do we form the future tense?! Are there any similar rules you can think of that exist in Spanish?
