Anderson Luis De Souza, SVD, to be the new parochial vicar for Holy Name. Fr. Anderson was born and reared in Brazil but spent five of the last seven years in the United First Communion Congratulations to the 48 children who received Eucharist for the first time last weekend. 3 HOUSTON, TX (713) JUNE 3, 2011 Church blueprints Vincent Saenz and Pablo Cortez alerted me to the fact that they saw church architectural drawings in one of the closets on the second floor of the house many years ago. Sure enough, we found them hidden away deep in the closet. Thanks to you both. I brought the drawings to the architect. We will also make a laminated copy of them to preserve them for future and I will give a copy to the Archdiocesan archives. The architect will now draw up a proposed plan for a restroom (two rooms) on the left of the front entrance of our church. (September 2-3 rd.) They say that not many events in Houston are planned for that weekend this year. A number of churches have their festivals at the end of September and early October. What do you think? Que fecha para el Festival? Algunas personas en la industria del entretenimiento me sugirieron que deberíamos planear el festival para el fin de semana festivo del día del trabajo (Septiembre 2-3). Some people in the entertainment industry suggested to me that we should plan our Fall Festival for Labor Day weekend this year Tour: Some parishioners are planning a four day round-trip to the Ozark Mountains range including a stop in Eureka Springs, Arkansas to see the passion play and another stop in Branson, Missouri to see a show. Does Corpus Christi refer to the Blessed Sacrament, or the body and blood of Christ that we receive at mass, or is it the Christian community gathered for worship?
