2 Optional Alternative Teaching Strategy Modeling Simplest Forms of Fractions OBJECTIVE Use models to find the simplest form for a fraction MATERIALS fraction circles for halves, fourths, eighths, and sixteenths Minutes An alternate method for finding the simplest form is to use,, or as a trial divisor and keep reducing the fraction until it is in simplest form.
