1 Spanish I Final Exam Practice Here are some exercises to help you prepare for the final exam. You will find the answers to the exercises at the end of the packet. Additional practice is available on line at my.hrw.com. You will need the username and password given to you at the beginning of the semester to access the website. This is intended only as practice; you are responsible for ALL material in Chapters 1 6. I. Match the question words in Spanish and English: 1. Cómo? A. When? 2. Cuánto? B. Why? 3. Quién? C. Where? 4. Cuál? D. Who? 5. Qué? E. How much? 6. Por qué? F. From where? 7. Cuántos? G. How? 8. Dónde? H. What? 9. Adónde? I. How many? 10. Cuándo? J. To where? 11. De dónde? K. Which one? II. Review the conjugations of ser (soy, eres, es, somos, sois, son), estar (estoy, estás, está, estamos, estáis, están), the rules for DOCTOR ser and ELF estar, and the conjugation of ir (voy, vas, va, vamos, vais, van). Decide which verb fits in the following sentences and write in the appropriate form. 1. Hoy nosotros a la escuela. 2. Los libros en mi mochila. 3. Ramón de Chile pero ahora (now) en Cuba. 4. Yo a ver una película esta noche. 5. Uds. arquitectos. 6. las dos y media. 7. Marta y yo inteligentes. 8. Cómo tú? Yo alta y rubia.

Review the expressions with tener (tener prisa, tener miedo, tener hambre, tener sed, tener frío, tener calor, tener sueño, tener que, tener ganas de) then fill in the sentences with the correct form of tener and the appropriate expression. You will need to fill in two words for each sentence. 1. Yo estudiar para la clase de historia. 2. Ellos en el invierno. 3. Uds. y van a beber dos vasos de agua. 4. Tú de ver una película. 5. Pepe y yo y vamos a comer mucho para el almuerzo. 6. Marta va a acostarse porque. IV. Check the following sentences/phrases to see if the there are any agreement or other grammatical errors. Make changes where necessary. 1. Mis hermanas es muy simpático. 2. Tengo una lápiz roja en el mano. 3. El chicos alto viven en el ciudad. 4. La roja casa es muy granda. 5. Sus gato es no gordo. V. Change the following verbs to the yo form. 1. hacemos 2. tienen 3. sabes 4. venimos 5. traen 6. queremos 7. sales 8. pone VI. Review the uses of the verb gustar (encantar and aburrir are used in the same way) then write the following in Spanish. 1. I like to sing and dance. 2. We don t like pizza. 3. They love ice cream. 4. History and science bore me. 5. Mary likes french fries.
3 VII. Fill in the correct form of the verb in parenthesis. Some verbs are stem changing. 1. Yo (preferir) comer en casa. 2. Ellos (correr) en el parque. 3. La clase (empezar) a las diez. 4.
